Bit bit and got away from me. Bent back 2 middle fingers, swung around and clocked me in the jaw to boot. Right hand is swollen and hurts to use. Drill literally kicked my arse went all George Foreman on me Tuesday.

Sorry to hear it brother. I have a buddy that had the same thing happen to him and it broke his wrist. Been nervous with any drill that isn't clutched ever since.
Hoping for a quick recovery for ya. The service manager and I have kind of switched roles at the shop so at least I'm doing more paperwork instead of trying to wrench. Small blessing is the other tech that we hired last August is getting to take on some projects I would normally do. He just did his first 350 swap on a Malibu last week. Hopefully there's some light duty for you at the shop, and you get to feeling better soon.

Ya, that's my bad. Doc told told me don't lift more than 1 lb. and restrict movement to elbow down only. Go back Monday for xrays. Hoping he clears me for more. Not that it matters, I still have very little range of motion on the left.

Getting old sucks! Nothing heals like it used to! I was riding my dirt bike last fall and came ripping around a corner and there was a giant tree that had fallen across the trail. Locked up the brakes but had no room to stop or avoid it. Went over the bars but caught my left thumb on them on the way over and torqued it back to my wrist. Tore the interior and exterior ligaments in the main thumb joint. It was literally just dangling there. Also bent the top thumb joint back enough to rip the skin open and warrant 5 stitches. I had to have surgery to reattach the ligaments a couple weeks later. Unfortunately it’s becoming clear that that was the easy part of the injury. It still aches every day and pops like crazy when i move it. I’m just starting to be able to use that hand again although I have next to no strength in that thumb after 4 months since surgery. I may have to get another before too long, it’s still partially dislocated and range of motion is not great.
Hope you boys heal up quick!
