I switched brands and ordered my first Tige!!!

First off I'm pumped. First Tige and first brand new boat. Old boat is a Malibu VLX. It came down to getting another VLX or the RZR. Both seem great but got way more options and a better looking boat for less money with RZR. I'm on a tiny 2000' slalom lake with restrictions so RZR was my only option with Tige. I'm still finalizing my colors and still have time to add or subtract options if I want. The way I have it ordered now I have metal flake gel coat upgrade, The top end stereo with Rev 10's on Tower, Surf Pipe, Steering wheel controls, under water transom lights x2, Bimini. The RZR comes pretty loaded so there wasn't much to add. Would love to hear from others if there was an option they really wish they would have gotten or one they paid for and didn't use. I did not get the surf link remote since we are not great at surfing and have been told most don't use it much.

One thing I'm really on the fence about is the coverall cover. its only a few hundred more. Dealer says its significantly harder to install. My boat stays on a covered lift. I like the idea of keeping dirt and spider webs off the tower and speakers. Since I have the power tower its easy to lower. But they have me concerned I will regret getting the coverall due to the hassle of installing it. I think his experience might be doing it with the boat on the trailer though. It would be easier on the dock.

Thanks and happy to be part of the Tige Family.

      WELCOME !!!
I can say that the cover is definitely worth it. Mine stays on our covered dock 24/7.
Although I have a 2015 R20 with standard tower, the cover is the best way to protect the interior from rodents, bird crap, sunfading, wandering EYES etc...
Also have covers for my tower speakers.
So worth the extra money, so worth the extra time of covering it after every outing.

      Enjoy

He is talking about the cover that goes over tower....rather than regular cover.
IMO, I would do it. Yes, it will take a few extra minutes to install over standard cover (doubt its too much harder/longer), but will keep the boat looking new for longer and will completely protect the boat, tower, speakers, etc (not to mention water cannot pool with tower under it to hold it up secure). I have a regular cover and tower speaker covers.....personally I wish I had a full cover that included the tower and will get one when I upgrade, I may have one custom made for this boat too.
I think with the power tower, you can also trailer with tower down and cover on....that will certainly keep boat a lot cleaner in those situations tho if it lives on a covered lift that wont be something you do often.

Edit....and Congrats on the new boat!!

Thanks! Yes I'm getting a cover. Just trying to decide between the standard mooring cover and the coverall that goes over the tower and speakers.

Really, Isn't the shower just pulling water from the lake?

Thanks for your opinion. Wonder if anyone has custom made a cover that just covers the tower in the up position giving you options. Maybe if you know you're going out tomorrow you just do the mooring cover but if its going to sit for a week you put the tower part on too. IDK. I'm just worried I'm going to get sick of lowering the tower every time I cover the boat. I do like your point about water pooling up not being an issue though.

yes, but it is heated by the engine(so it has to be on or warm to use it). had it in my '12 and only used it once just to say I did. and that was using the boat primarily in wisconsin. guys that ride in the early spring and late fall might have more use for it but we were pretty fair weather surfers and even with wetsuits we never used it to stay warm. heater was a much better use of the coin...
                    all imo....

But just imagine filling your wet suit full of warm water before getting into the lake. Has to be sooooooo nice.

Spring and late fall are simply incredible. Heater is mandatory. Shower is baller status and always brings a smile. Thank goodness for Memorial Day to Labor Day boaters. Gives me the lake all to myself through dec.

^EXACTLY! Once you’ve done this you’ll use it every time the wet suit comes out. It really just depends on where you live and how early/late in the season you’re out. I’m in Denver without a heater or shower and I cry every time I go out
Welcome to the Tige’ family. Post pics when you get it finalized!

Shower option is only lake Temp. The coverall cover is a little bit of a pain until you get a routine, but it is much easier to install on the dock then on the trailer. I am getting with my new boat to keep the spiders out of the tower crevices when on the lift.

The only option I didn't get that I wish I would have would have been the heated seats, we do a lot of early morning/late evenings.
