I don't know how they would badge it, but I'm surprised they aren't doing an R series for RZ2 and RZ4 hulls. They know how many they build a year so I'm sure there is a reason.
They make a R22(RZ2 Hull) and they are fazing out the RZ4 for the new ZX5. No plans that I know of of making a 24' or bigger R series boat.

Didn't realize they did an r22. We haven't ordered one year, which doesn t surprise since we have a holdover 17 rz2 in stock. Also didn't realize we were talking about the big boat yet...:O

Yep r22 is a thing, for the rz4 I don’t believe they made many 17’s... seca had one and it lasted forever. Here’s a nice looking r22, personally I’d jump up to the r23.. the r series needs to please to groups of people, the ones looking for a entry level boat (r20) or a cheaper surf machine (r23)

Think cross between RZX and Z3. 25' Traditional shovel nose bow with lots of freeboard. Should be released any day now. . .

The zx5 will be a hybrid bow, big freeboard boat with an rzx like running surface more similar to the 2 then the 3.

Tige is also kicking around doing the same style boat in a 21 foot version.

Both boats will have some new design features. Boat looks killer and should be released shortly after the 20th of this month with production beginning shortly after that.

Meh, the ASR wasn't perfect when they rolled it out. TAPS3 had some growing pains. Theyve all been worked out, with time. I'd rather have a boat that's had all the kinks worked out of it than put my eggs in the basket for a boat that technically hasn't even been announced by Tige yet.
I'm sure it's going to be a great boat. Personally would rather roll an rzx3 for a year and wait and see how it performs before I lined up to throw down big money for a big boat. To each their own though. It's all out of my budget anyways.

Given how similar the running surface will be to the 2? prob not. The 257 is in a different stratosphere wave wise, it just doesent do much of anything else well.

The hull will be good to go... its just the newness that has me uneasy during the first year.
