We love to follow the storms. Locally wolf creek pass above Woodland my kids love Monte Cristo and then there is always up Farmington Canyon 5min up the road. For weekends we'll head up into Idaho, Wyoming and even Montanna occasionally. I only have about a month in the fall when we don't boat or sled. Moki do you get to go out sledding in our great mountains?
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

I don't own any sleds, but I am a member of the Rec Club where you can rent them for points. I have only sledded up in Heber - Strawberry - and American Fork Canyon. However, I want to expand my horizons this winter.

Now that this has turned to a sledding thread do you ever make it to the fairview shoot out in April. I have gone for 10 years or so. If you haven't been it's awesome. Last race of the year, no rules just flat out line up and race up 2000 feet as steep a mountain as they make. It is great to just go and see what 30,000 to 50,000 dollars will get you. Or go and see who you can compete against stock vs. stock or mods or whatever, just pick someone and line up and when the flag is dropped nail it. There is no need for classes, by the end of the afternoon everyone know whos the fastest. Great weekend to call it quits and then be devoted to the Tige' from then on out. Maybe over the winter us Utahn Tige' guys can hook up on a Tige' ride. I have a cabin up in Timberlakes above Heber, maybe when the snow is ready I can plan a weekend or just a Saturday get together at tower mountaing for lunch . Until then polish the Tige' and get the sleds ready. Snow show this weekend to get you into gear.

Well found out "my deer" is still coming out in the same spot he has been the last 4 years. He's now 6 and pretty close to 190 class. Been watching this sucker for the last three years and watched him get bigger. Can't get in any closer than I am (which is 585 yards out) b/c of the way the feed field is set up that he comes into. Spent alot of the summer shooting from my blind to where he comes out and am extremely confident. He's going down this year

But before I do that I'm gonna take a visit to the King Ranch for a hunt in two weeks, as a "warm up". God I love this time of year

That lull where the water got to cold and it wasn't quite hunting season (other than dove) was about to kill me. If it hadn't been for college football I don't know what I would have done.
Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Tanner good luck. When all else is amuck in life it does feel good to go and kill something. I kinda lost my enthusiasm for hunting when my dad passed away 6 years ago, he was my huntin buddy and I don't think it would be the same. I'm glad not to have lost the desire to boat, he instilled that in me a little deeper. Good luch again on the trophy.

                        Tanner,
I have been hunting deer for a long time as well. But, it sure is fun. Send me some deer jerkey when you get him!
