    Removing Tige Touch 2

Hey...anyone have any tips on how to remove the Tige Touch screen on a 16 Z3?

bakes I believe under neath you have screws that hold the whole dash with TT2 in place. If my mind serves me right, the whole dash needs to be removed with the TT2 first. Then you separate. Obviously you have to unplug the tt2.

There is one screw in the bottom corner of the molded plastic part of the dash (insert) that holds the screen. Its to the right of the steering wheel at the bottom of the dash. Take the round plastic cap off and there is a screw under it. Put painters tape around the edge of the insert on all vinyl surfaces the insert could drag across. You can then pull the insert where the screen is at toward the captains chair to access the upper and lower starboard side screws. Some people pull the non skid off the dash and remove the two screws under it which allows that portion to push into the vinyl covered brow and allow the screen portion to pull out more.

Some people can remove all four screws from under the dash without pulling the panel out. Do not do this on a cold panel. You could crack/break it from the force.
      Oh Yeah!

This is the way I've done it. Good to know about breaking it. Guess I better knock on wood.

Ok...what about that sliver decal? Any tips on getting it off?

Silver decal comes off with plastic putty knife and gentle pressure. Bolts are easily removed with a right angle bit driver...except the lower starboard one. No need to mess with moving/removing panels and what not
