That lsv is sooo bad. I heard somewhere it was a custom order and the customer backed out. Did you see the American flag tinted windshield?

I think people are going to be surprised a where the industry goes in the next few years. I see stuff being floated around and it makes transformers look like childs play. If you are thinking the surf game will be the same in a few years then I suggest you look no further then Tesla introducing and finalizing the autopilot program. Or in this specific industry.. AUTOWAKE. Hull manipulation is a real thing that is going to be a reality in the not so distant future.

Electric wakeboats? Self driving would be cool too! That would be sick.

I know this isn’t the demand at the moment but coming up with a 3 event tournament boat that could hold its course perfectly straight even with the skier pulling against the boat would be so cool. Or even digital reconition between the balls and the boats computer. But as we all know, nobody cares about skiing anymore.

Doesnt supra already have an auto wake system ? I could swear last year when looking at them they have an option with some sort of gyro that constantly adjusts list and yaw on the fly

You have customers that carry a 20 year loan on a boat!?

I have a friend who traded his 2013 (250hrs) Z3 on a Malibu because he liked the fact he could switch the wake on the fly and apparently it had a better wake. His Z3 is in mint condition and I suggested he just do a TAPS 3 or Surf Assist retrofit (he never even tried a suck gate) and add more ballast. He would be sorely disappointed knowing that the right set up would have made his Z3 awesome, besides the fact I don't know many people who can even do tricks on one side of the wake little lone surf both sides. I don't know what he got for the trade but it's listed at $69K and I'm sure he paid a premium for that Malibu. Personally I would have a difficult time spending over $100K on a boat if I only put 50hrs on it a year.

So I have 2016 R20 some added options carrying a 12 year loan and I pay extra every month. Wife asks why I do t tell her the real reason is in 4 years I plan on trading in and going to a RZX2. But I put 100 hours on mine this year so hopefully being a 400 hour 4 year old boat doesn’t hurt to bad.

If it’s anything like how are 14 went 4 years later 400 hours. Surprisingly the value held very very well.

And others have to finance at 20 just to make it happen

There are already some bolt on electric kits out there and some other neat stuff going on in the world of DC motors for boats. Havent really looked around the internet at what guys are doing but there are certainly some kits out for large boats but don't think anyone is doing a kit that would satisfy towboat market. One thing is for sure, the battery bank requirements will take care of a lot of ballast if they figure it out

The one I'm interested to see is where Indmar goes next. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 3.5L ecoboost in the future.
