    Covers for winter storage

Unfortunately the season is coming to a close. Picked up a 21i this year and wondering what kind of covers people are using for winter storage. It will be outside in the elements (snow, cold, etc) so wondering what type is best. Also do any modifications need to be made like installing a vent of some sort to get rid of moisture?

    Cheers, Jeff

With my warm muggy weather here in FL I installed a couple of these vents and they seem to be helping keep my boat dryer. Also to help with our sometimes monsoonal rains this time of year I built a simple PVC stand that helps keep the cover supported in the middle of the boat. I made it free standing so that I don't have to try to keep a single prop tensioned while I adjusted the cover to finish putting it on. I could sna p a photo of it if you would like. I figure it would also help support snow/ice pretty decently if that is a concern.

I've kept mine covered with a huge tarp this Summer. Over the Winter, I will put on the mooring cover, and then pull the tarp back over.
I will probably open it up once in a while to let it 'breath' and top off the batts.

You could pay a small fee and have it shrink wrapped

If you do, you'd better make sure it's totally dry
