Fresh air exhaust for the RZX

I have a 2016 RZX that I bought and used last summer. I was pleased with the waves it produced but didn't like the exhaust in my face on days there was no wind. I've heard about the
fresh air exhaust pipes you can have put on to solve this problem. Before I invest more money into this boat I would like feedback from boat owners that have had the fresh air exhaust
system installed. Does it solve this problem? PB

FAE does work very well. Very good system that is now OEM on many surf boats, not sure why Tige is not offering as a factory option.

So you bought a 100K+ boat but your worried about "investing" in a $500 upgrade??? Interesting...

Regardless of the cost of the boat, he is checking to see if a particular aftermarket accessory is a worthy investment. In what world is that a bad thing? I would be asking the same questions. Thats called being smart about spending your money.

And yes FAE is standard now on the RZX line.

Has there been any issues with warranty work being denied from Indmar, etc for adding an aftermarket FAE? Any long term engine reliability speculation?

Those motors don’t give a rip if FAE is on or not. There has to be zero concern relating to reliability.

For 2018 FAE is standard on the RZX line. It is an option for the Z and R Series boats.

Get it, don't look back. Especially if you surf, but even if you don't. Also go to wake9.com vids, Ragboy did a whole rundown of tests on how much it diverts CO (carbon monoxide) from transom and rear seat area. I just got a new R23 (in production... will be posting pics) and not even a question to option it in.

Lets see. My wife wasn't to happy bout me buying a boat that cost 100K+ so I have to be careful with the money I spend on the boat and toys for the boat. So , I don't want to spend money on a FAE if it doesn't work when I could spend it on new surf boards, ballast bags, new prop, etc.

                        Berry,

You definitely dont need to justify asking whether its worth the money or how you went about buying your boat. The point the poster made IMO, was lame and out of line. Researching a product before spending the money is the smart thing to do regardless of dollar amount. So no need to justify it on your end.

F.A.E is worth every penny IMO. If not from a safety aspect then absolutely from a sound aspect. The decibel amount it cuts down is pretty staggering.

Thanks Elevated.....My post was a joke.

But since you want to be quick to call me out. The next time I see one of your posts that violates corporate policy or your dealer agreement I will be sure to get that up to someone who matters at Tige....

It didn't come off like a Joke and if you are back peddling now and saying it was, terrific! I dont think the poster thought it was a joke either, as he felt like he needed to explain it further. Joking or not, it was a soup sandwich type of comment. I call a spade a spade. Maybe I am too forward for you, get over it.

As for corporate policy or knowing anything of a specific dealer agreement between myself and Tige, I welcome you to make any call that tickles your fancy, honestly, they will get a kick out of it. Based on this little exchange its going to have a nice ring coming from you I bet. While your are at it, tell them I said happy holidays (although i have most likely already spoken to most anyone you would talk too). Ive got a better solution, Ill make sure they know a call is coming from you. No need to wait to express your displeasure as a Tige Owner/ customer/Former Dealer... whatever you were, are, or are not on that list.

An insulting post, followed by a lousy threat. People never cease to amaze me. Your a real class act Boardman, real class act. SMH

Was it Boardman? Really? You are the first to rip on Tige and Tige Owners. You’re a former Tige Dealer/Employee. Got it. You were unhappy with their quality control. Understood. Reporting a post on here to “someone that matters at Tige” though? Report this while you’re at it; your “joke” was not funny. In fact, it was offensive and rude in my opinion. I’ve come to expect it though.
