    2001 2100V Tower

I think I'm going to upgrade the tower this year and I'm looking at the Origin/Reborn Catapult. Does anyone have any experience with this tower? I don't want to spend a lot of money and I like this style. I want something stable that isn't going to shake back and forth like the metacraft. Should I go polished or black? I like black but I'm worried about it chipping.

I like the chrome personally. I mounted a tower on a friends SeaRay that looked identical but I can’t remember the brand. It was pretty stable but we only put two fairly light speakers on it and a wake rack on each side. All in all it was pretty nice and held up well.

I installed a Monster tower on mine this summer. Super stout tower with no movement. Btw, it’s a 2000 2100V.

Lee, Thanks for the craigslist link! I'm looking into this one, I really like the look of that tower. I emailed the guy to get some dimensions. The width between the back two mounting points will be critical.

civilgee, Looks good! I like that style as well. How difficult was it to get under the gunnels to mount it? Did you have to reach with an extended ratchet of some sort from the front or back?

It was difficult, but I’m a pretty big fella. My 150 lbs brother in law saved the day with his smaller arms and hands.

Chopper515-The tower I was talking about was an aerial airborne. It’s more spendy but the reason I mention it again is because of its adjustability. In order for it to fit a wide range of boats it has two larger diameter pieces of pipe on the top that act as sleeves for the two sides that slide into them. Once adjusted to the width for your application you install several bolts. I’ll attach a pic so you can see what I mean. The same principal could easily be used on the tower Lee posted so it would fit pretty much any boat. Ive also installed a gen one monster tower and an mt2. They make good stuff but is also not cheap. Hope this helps.

jetdriver, thanks for the info. I'm pursuing that tige tower right now, hopefully it fits. Otherwise, I'll be back to ordering something for less than $1k

The craigslist tower is sold so I'm back to picking polished or black. Is paint chipping and scratching an issue with powerdercoated towers? I definitely like black better but I'll pass if it's going to look like crap in a couple years.

I ended up ordering the polished black Origin Catapult Tower. Does anyone have some advice on how to get to the existing tower bolts under the port side gunnel? See attached pic.

Deep socket on a u joint on an extention. That’s after you pull the seat back off. It should have a large hole where you might not need the u joint or extension.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

How do you remove the seat back? I was thinking maybe there’d be an access cutout behind the seat back, but I have no idea how to go about removing it

Maybe it changed in 01 but this pic is a 99. Just a #8 stainless. Not thru bolted.

They used wood type screws in between the pleat.
                              Oh Yeah!
