    where to find lead

ive never used lead and im just wondering where you can get ahold of it? how much volume is it and how much does it way? do you put it in compartments, or do you leave it in the open so it can be moved around? do you need to put a cover on it or does it matter?

    thanks.

What weighs more a pound of lead or a pound of feathers?

www.pop-products.com this is safer than lead, and is prepackaged. Hide it in the compartments.

            Laketime,
I picked up several 5 gallon buckets of lead from a local shooting range, poured the loose shrapnel into 5 gallon plastic jerry cans and fit them under the back seat of my 2100. I would estimate that each can weighs close to 250 lbs. Don't try melting lead unless you or someone you know has experience with it. Nasty stuff.

I think that the guy in Kirk's profile pic melted a lot of lead in his day.

I know a lot of people have done it, but it might make you lose a few IQ points.

Shooting range is the best place, or a tire shop will have plenty of lead as well. My brother in law melted down a bunch of shooting range lead for me for christmas one year. A lead brick that is about 1 inch thick, 8 inches wide and 12 inches long (standard Brownie pan) weighs about 50 pounds.

If I were into the lead business, I would put lead into a plastic container with a handle and then pour sand in to fill in the gaps between pieces of lead.
              Be excellent to one another.

hey kirk! did the shooting range just let you take it off their hands or did they charge you.
