    Centurion Fi23 or Z3?

I'm 90% leaning towards a new Z3. I did have the chance to demo a 2018 Cenurion Fi23 today and had fun as well. It is the lesser expensive version of the Ri237. Same hull and similar PCM engine. The surf wave was really good. It didn't have the curl or pocket the Z3 had but it felt wider and farther back from the boat. The ballast configuration was about 4,800 pounds. I know the Z3 is about 3,000.

I'm new to the boating world and wondered what your thoughts might be? The RZX series would be my top choice but they are out of the price range.

I"m pretty sure the FI23 is over 100K aren't they? Z3 is a lot of boat for the money!

You can easily get a demo rzx for the price of a new Fi23. Personally I think the centurion is very much over priced. Tige stock ballast can easily be upgraded with less and bigger bags but in all realality Tige doesn’t need the weight centurion does.

I have zero experience with the Centurion, but the z3 will accept more weight if you want to add it, which will get you further back and further out! Never underestimate people ballast either. I normally boat with 1-3 people in the boat. When I have 7-8 its a whole different beast!

Very true. I do agree that the fit and finish of Tige is nicer. The Fi23 has some really good incentives right now, as does Tigé . That is how the price is lower.

I agreee the interior fit and finish is much nicer on the Tigé which is a big deal. You can't be surfing 100% of the time
