    Wake Gate or alike

Have a 2009 Tige RZ2, love it BUT the wake is just ok and on the goofy side is pretty poor. I bought one of the Surf Gates and that worked pretty good but the the velcro and swap over to other side a big pain. And 4 black velcro patches on the side of my boat very objectionable. Want to have a mechanical or hydraulic system installed. Anyone have info on kits or installers? Thanks

There's also suction cup options that work well. No Velcro involved.

Try the "Suck Gates" first and if we really want to go automated, then look at the Go Surf Assist.

I would like to see this. How does the center tab make any difference on the surf wake?

            fred,

what is your ballast, TAPS and speed setup? In regards to ballast, what does the boat have built in or extra as a whole and whats the setup used that lead you to the side mounted surf devise?

I have a 2011 RZ2. I've had pretty good luck with goofy surf wave by listing boat. Decided this year to try a suction cup gate and felt I could get as good a wave as listing. I'm not an expert surfer by any means. I like not having to list and be able to keep my ballast fairly even since I surf goofy and others are regular so it was easier and faster to switch sides. Problem was having the suction cups hold every time. So yesterday I started email to Wakemakers about putting the wave surf assist on mine

Does the custom taps plate work well with a 2002 Riders edition? If so, I am interested! Always in search of maxing out the surf wave on my boat!

Your surf gate probably isn't the problem. I have several hours in experimenting with the weight, speed, and TAPS on my RZ2 and it makes an excellent wake. I think most RZ2 owners agree it will make a better wake when slightly listed but not necessarily required. I shift most of my bow lead to the surfside so the gate is just barely under the water line. I run about 2400lbs of ballast with TAPS around 3.5. Personally I like my speed around 11.8 or 12, slower for less advanced riders. A fully automated surf system would be nice, but only if it made my boat exponentially better.
If I'm not surfing, I'm making money to surf.

I'd agree that a gated wave with a slight list is by far the best result as it removes "the line" most people don't like....including myself.

Well after a year of testing behind my old 2014 Rz2 and all other models of 2014 and older Tige Boats it works really well and I’d be happy to post up a ton of my customers feedback that love it.

It’s completely different size wise and has more adjustment.

                            Do you have a photo?
For more adjustment you'd need a different actuator, or the actuator mounted more inboard.
