2003 22v platform sits in water

Good morning everyone. I noticed that my swim platform sits pretty far in the water. I'd say close to 1/4 of the boards. This doesn't seem right to me. No ballast and no one in the boat (tied to dock) I've got the Normal amount of equipment In the rear lockers, 2 anchors, fenders, ropes and three dry ballast bags. the platform sits at an angle downward from the back of the boat. (Not parallel to the water) My nautique platform was above the water and parallel to the water so that's why this had me concerned. Is this normal for tiges in 2003? I've searched but only find this problem in older tiges so any help is appreciated.

The platform on our 1998 2200 pre-VWT is always submerged even when completely empty. I assume it was designed that way. At least our little boy likes it for splashing !

Mine sits basically at that point with nothing in it 2005 24v. But I run 400-500 pounds of lead in the bow, fixes it. But honestly I never worried about it.

Tige seems to put the platforms right at the water level compared to other brands. I don’t know why they do but they just do.

It's that way so my parents can "seal swim" their way back onto the platform. Bad knees, shoulders, too many steaks and cheese burgers...

More about it being easier to board the boat while swimming and a little about the old school mental of keeping the fumes from building up underneath the platform while at idle. If the platform stays under water while underway, then you have an issue.

I have the exact same boat as you and mine sits right at water level with nothing in it. Don't think you have anything to worry about like was said by others.

Another confirmation of a swim platform dead even with the water when everything is neutral (2009 24Ve). I agree that it appears Tige designs them this way on purpose, and frankly I like it a lot. Our previous boat's swim platform was high enough off the water that it came with a factory installed retractable ladder! Tige's approach is WAY, WAY better.

I think you are saying that the platform is not parallel to the surface of the water, and only the back of the swim platform is under water, but closer to the boat, it is out of the water. Everyone seems to be missing this point.

I think it is very likely that the boat is either chronically back-heavy due to some sort of excess weight, or your platform supports are bent. I am pretty sure they are supposed to be a precise 90 degree angle with the transom underneath. Take a square and see if your brackets are not 90 degrees. There are reports of people getting water soaking into the foam in the hull in those years, which can add a lot of weight, but it would be pretty unusual to have it exactly symmetrical right to left. Your boat sits level left to right?

'normal amount of equipment' in the rear lockers means a lot of different things to different people. You may need to elaborate a little.
