      Floors done!
Swim platform refinished as well today.

I'll likely end up making a new one next season when I see how this one impact the wave, but it's way better than it was!

This is looking great! I’m new here. I was searching for a seat with a bolster. And came across your build. This is just amazing what you have come up with. Can’t wait to see what is next! I’ll be tuned in.

What all did you do to your swim platform? Sand and/or clean/brighten? Looking amazing.

              Thanks Guys!
              CM,
That's not the final color, once it got oil it darkened way back up. I would prefer it stay that color but the Iroko used is just a dark wood by nature.MVIMG_20190608_160307.jpg
That's what it looks like finished out.

I disassembled it and sanded it to 60 grit (don't want a slippery platform).
I cut about 1/2" off the depth to remove some cracks and crappy wood on the edges.
Then used a 1/4" roundover bit to roundover all the edges.
Reassembled with a little dab of epoxy in each screw hole to help hold it all together.
Then about 10 coats of pure tung oil.

I prefer oil finishes as they will never flake or peel off. It's important to use a "Pure" oil and not a danish oil or "tung oil" you buy at lowes. They have resins and hardeners in them to make them more suitable for a furniture finish and can flake and crack.
I'll have to reapply the oil every season, or a few times per season but it's a 5 minute job, i'll just do it while cleaning the boat after use.

and we're back form paint. I'm not 100% happy with the work they did but it's good enough because I'm ready to be done with this thing lol.
Floor test fit good, a little trimming to do under the captains foot area and just cleaning up a few lines but otherwise turned out like I'd hoped!

Awesome. The new glass work looks factory. That’s how they should have come.

I picked up the first piece of upholstery today to check the placement on the EVA Foam flooring design.
                            Quite happy with it!
