    Dealer ratings or reviews

I was wondering what happened to the anhaney thread on his dissapointing experiences with our local dealer Taylors Boats. I have seen many threads on different topics related to dealers, service, and products. I think it is unfortunate that when someone posts a negative comment the thread is removed, why? I wish I had gotten some reviews on dealers prior to my purchase. I love my Tige' if I buy another one, I will probably travel the five plus hours to Boats of Nevada as I have heard great things about them. I would possibly even consider the 12 hour drive to Carona Watersports for the same reason. Had I had a better experience with my dealer I possibly would have bought a 24VE this last year or maybe a new RZ2 for next. I like having the latest and greatest. I buy a new snowmobile every year just for that reason and I deal with a great dealer on them. I am considering taking my boat to Lake Mead for the Nevada/Utah reunion and having it serviced while there, because I don't trust I will be treated right by my dealer here. I would like to see possitive and negative feed back on all aspects of owning a boat especially the Tiges we all love or not. What do you think of your dealer?

While I did get off to a rocky start with the delivery of my boat (it basically wasn't ready), it's been nothing but smooth sailing with the Ski Dock here in Austin, TX. I've since recommended a couple of friends who have both had great experiences. Their service department usually does a good job and when they don't, they make it right, no questions asked.

If I'd had the same experience as Original Wingnut, I'd have given up on the Tige a long time ago. On my previous boat, I had issues with another dealer here in Austin and I ended up going to an independent mechanic who serviced Mercruisers.

So, to answer your question, the Ski Dock rocks! Probably why you see more Tiges than any other performance watersports boat on Lake Austin and Lake Buchanan.

I think that anhaney got his point across. The thread was here long enough for other owners to see the problems he had. I believe most of us will forget Who he had the bad experience with, but will remember what went wrong with his buying experience and learn from it and take it with us when we decide to buy a new boat, or anything big for that matter!

My dealer thinks he knows it all. He even puts it in his avatar.

Maybe someone who understands better can explain the CSI, something like Customer Service Initiative. Boats of Nevada wore CSI shirts at the boat show to generate interest, then they could explain how they were #1 in the CSI ratings.

in my opinion dealer ratings would do no good. Kind of like some of the people on here who keep posting BS stories and lies. If you run your boat out of gas, be a man and admit you screwed up!

I bought my Tige' from a Malibu dealer in Ma and trailered it out to Az. I have since had it in to Tige' Boats of AZ a few times and it's been nothing less than A++. I believe the dealer makes all the difference in the world. I have to stop going there because I always get that weird NEW BOAT ITCH.

OK bog I ran out of gas(fuel gauge issue, it read above a third). I wish that was the only problem I had. I really don't want to get into all the issues again, but weren't you the guy that assured me we didn't need to go out for an on water test before I went all the way to Mead for the first trip. The boat had already had an on water test? I recall spending my first day on the phone and at the hardware store trying to stop the leak in my heating system. I am happy with my boat now, not the dealer. I'll leave it at that if that's ok with you.

Hmmmm, you know... I remember a while back I had made a mostly positive comment about my dealer. But I also posted a negative comment about them dragging their feet with paper work (it took nearly 7 months to get my MSO) and that post was there for 3 or 4 days, before mysteriously dissapearing.

At least your dealer is on this forum (and yeah, he really does know quite a lot)
