rzx2 vs rzx3

Just looking for opinions on people who have surfed and been in both boats. What I've heard is the 3 is a tad better surf wise. There a pros and cons to me as far as interior layouts go. Any feedback would be great.

Both boats are nearly identical. Unless you have significant time in both its hard to voice. Every boat takes a while to get setup. Heck I'm still working on my own boat and I have been in countless 2's and 3s. Give me a 2 for what I use it for knowing what I know currently.

Exactly this. 10 people will give you 10 different answers. Below is my feedback based on the boats I've been in:

2017 RZX2 with 400 motor and 4K Ballast(PNP filled). Surf Wave was fantastic, would have liked to be be a little longer, but I was only in it for a short time and didn't have time to dial it in. Wakeboard wake with PNP at 50% was great, but boat was a little sluggish to get on a plane.

2018 RZX2 with 460 and 2:1 Transmission with 3K Ballast. The new 460 motor is an absolutely beast. This boat had no problem handling the stock ballast and wakeboarding behind it was perfect. Big wake with just the right amount of kick. (Intermidate-Advanced Rider). I did not surf behind it.

2017 RZX3 with 440 Motor and 2:1 Transmission. This was my favorite of the 3. I really like the rear surf locker to store boards. The wakeboarding wake didn't seem as steep as the RZX2. Stock Ballast full with PNP at 75% and just the driver in the boat.

I didn't get a chance to surf the RZX3 unfortunately.

The 3 surfs awesome... I think the 2 and 3 are super similar. The 2 has a little taller wave, the three is a little longer. The two surfs it's best when it's truly weighted evenly.

The 2's wakeboard wake is superior.

Go look at wake9’s video on the rzx which in that year wasn’t called the three but if I am right is the same as the 3 and that wake was great

yes, talked to robert and and watched those videos several times. I just haven't seen much on the 2, which is cheaper and I like the open bow.

Want a clean faced long Z wave on steroids.. drop a little weight and adjust taps 3. IMG_9302.jpg

I want my vx z3 wave with same shape more height and more push. Wake 9s rzx videos looks great. Length and shape look great. I'd love to see a video of rzx2 like that. I am leaning towards the 3 just for its wave. But I think the 2s layout is nicer.
