The taps system in my 2006 24ve won't work. I can hear the motor kick on when I press the switch but the plate will not move. It is stuck on 7 and every now and then it will start to slowly go up almost to 6 but then will drop back to 7. I removed the cover to the taps motor and the fill cap and there is a watery fluid inside. Not sure if it is supposed to be like that or not. Any info would be great

Should be red automatic transmission fluid.
Is the level between the fill lines on the reservoir?
My guess is bad solenoid.
If you put power to the green wire do you get a click? -
Does the motor kick on and stay on with nothing moving, or just click?Comment

One other question....does the issue happen at different throttle positions the same? Actuate the taps switch and give it throttle back and forth and see if anything changes.Comment
