I'm taking the family and new boat to Table Rock Lake next week. I've never been there before and am wondering if anyone who has can give me some tips, things I should watch for, etc.

There are better experts than I on this forum. Awesome lake. Thinking off season you should have little problem with traffic on the lake. I mostly boated between Indian Point and the bridge at Kimberling City the one trip I brought my boat for. Gorgeous lake, I hope you enjoy your stay! So much to do close by too.

Hey Mike,
We are at Table Rock Lake a lot, but mostly boat south of where you are (by the state park marina)...the water has been pretty high this year so shouldn't have too much trouble...one of our favorite spots is under the 86 highway bridge and follow the lake south (toward Cricket Creek Marina), several straight runs of water that are usually calm, as protected by the high hills. We also enjoy jumping off some cliffs...if you enter these numbers into Google Maps ( 36.553249,-93307113) it will show you where the cliffs are.
We jump off the north side... water very deep to land in and different heights to jump from. If you head west toward Kimberling City, there is one shallow area just south of the bend that is before the bridge (near Seven Point Road) that is marked with a buoy...stay east of that marker.
If you do head South, there are 3 marinas if you need gas...State Park marina, Long Creek marina, and Cricket Creek marina.
If you get into any boat trouble...the guys at Premiere Marine in Kimberling City do all my service and have rescued me once on the water.
Good luck and have fun

Sorry for the tardy reply.
If you’re looking for skiing / boarding coves, the best / closest option for you is Cow’s Creek, about a 12 min boat ride from Still Waters. Come out of the Indian Point area, head south, and hug the right side as if you’re going to Kimberling City.
If you’re up for some longer boat rides you can: 1. visit the rope swing / cliff jumps that are on near the James River Arm area (point 9, I believe?) or 2. hit the Pizza Hut on the water in Shell Knob. Both are some of our kids’ favorite memories of TRL. The rope swing is a good 30 min boat ride for you; Pizza Hut is much longer, maybe an hour. That said, if you have the time and enjoy longer boat rides, they’re both great options.
As another poster said, the water is still up, but not too bad.

For a great wakeboard, surf cove - 36.596365, -93.507371
For the Swing mentioned earlier - 36.639888, -93.491820
For other cliffs to jump off of - 36.573855, -93.500618
Have fun, water will be a bit chilly this time of year. I went two weeks ago and it still felt fine, just a bit cold at first.
