    Tige Bimini Modifications - 2014 Z1 (and Others)

    About a year ago, I lost the extension bar for my 2014 Z1 Bimini. When I reached out to the local Tige Dealership, I was informed that Tige had switched companies, and no longer used the same vendor for Bimini's. They put me in contact with the previous vendor. I was able to purchase the replacement extension bar. Lesson learned, always store that extension bar in the front with the button in one of the holes! That leads me to the good news.

    I am now interested in either a Bimini extension, or a Bimini with the Surf Pockets (leaning HEAVILY towards surf pockets). I contacted the vendor about a month ago, and the customer service was outstanding. They told me "if you're willing to provide me your email address, and wait a little bit, it will be well worth your wait". I figured what do I have to lose.

    The vendor, Great Lakes Boat Top, emailed me today! They are having a 25% off sale right now. The following are the quotes I received today;

    Alpha Z Tower, Fabric Only with Surf Pockets; Regular price $940.53, Sale Price $705.40
    Rear Top Extension W/Tower; Regular price &892.21, Sale Price $669.16

    I have nothing to gain by passing the word... just figured a few of you would be interested as well.

    Thanks for the post and information. I went to their website, but but did not see much for Tige Alpha Z toweres. Did they give you any pics or renderings by chance? I'm not sure what the extension looks like. I do have a 2013 Z3 with surf pockets, but after all the use the material is starting to break down. I'm curious if the overall construction has been updated or improved.

        Ewok- has the bimini extension. Maybe he will chime in or you can search his youtube channel he has a video teaching people how to take down and put up the bimini and shows his extension.

        Brian Ewasko is his name.

                  I am not sure, and I don't want to guess and give you bad info. You might want to reach out to a dealer, I am sure they know.

                    I just purchased the Bimini with Surf Pockets. It will be shipped next week. Total cost (including shipping) was $750. As a reminder, the 25% off sale mentioned earlier ends this Friday.

                      I also took advantage of the sale on a replacement cover - saved about $300, not a bad deal.
