    Chromax Logos

So, this spring I decided to remove the "tribal" logo from the side of my 2005 22V. The removal of the faded/beat-up logo really helped to clean up the look of the boat BUT something was missing. Today I installed the Chromax logos and am really happy with the way that it turned out.

Now to get her cleaned up and ready for a week at the lake

They look good. I've been meaning to order a few of them for my RZ2. If you don't mind, where'd you order from and what did they cost?

Looks great. I prefer the no logo's as well. First thing I peeled off when I got the boat home.

Awesome. Thanks for showing this as I have contemplated doing this to mine and wondered how it would look. Turns out it looks great.

Where did you purchase the Tige logo's?

Hey guys, be aware that there is a fleet wide recall on those logos. Both of mine came off my 2017 RZX2. I called my dealer and when I returned from my trip he showed me the email in which they are instructing the dealer to remove them. Seems the sub contractor that made them didn't use the correct adhesive and they come off with water moving past them. My dealer has four of the new boats he sold this year affected.

Mine came off of my 17 as well. First trip out as a matter of fact. They sent me new ones last year at the end of the season and so far so good. I think they fixed the adhesion prob.

I ordered them through my local dealer (the Tige store doesn't list them anymore). The price was a bit steep $125/side (Canadian).

As for removing the old logos, it was quite easy - razor blade and a steady hand to peel them off. They are quite substantial so once you get them started they peel off in pretty large pieces.

My biggest fear is having them fall off - I guess we will have to see if they stay on or not.

Heat gun is the way to go. The decals come off easy with heat and fingernails and you don't scratch your gelcoat with a blade.

My Chromax Logos came in today to put on my all white 22V. Going to peel the tribal off this winter.

Little nervous that the mfg date is 12/8/15. Anyone know if those were affected?

No idea, perhaps there was just a bad batch during the 2017 run. I would call Tige and confirm before putting them on.

I didn't check the dates on my packaging but I will let you know how they make out (heading out for a week in the lake this upcoming week).
