In the market to buy/build a 2018 (possibly a 17). As I currently own a Tige, I figured, I might as well give them a shot to get my business. I like the boats, I've tested many others over the last year and ehhh.... I figure with a dealer minutes away, this could work out well for both parties.
I called the dealer on getting me over some sort of a build sheet, spoke to a kind gentlemen and he informed methat the owner would have to do this as he has access to that information. I told him, that's not a problem. Gave him my information, this was 1 week ago on Wednesday. I called him back on Thursday and asked if he wrote my email address down correctly and maybe the email was sent to the wrong recipient, he says oh maybe. Informs me that it will be done today. (nothing)
Today is Wednesday, approximately 1 week has gone by, no follow up, no email, no phone call. Called them back, both salesmen and owner are not in the office. Left a message. Waiting to hear back. I'm not sure if I'm asking for a lot? or are they not wanting new business? I dunno.
Meanwhile, I called Malibu as well, near distance away. Not only did they send me over a build sheet for a 23 lsv, (same day) they also let me know about incentives that they might have on their 17 models in stock, or if I found in any other dealer state wide. They would be able to deliver the boat down here and work a deal.
If buying a boat seems to be a hassle, I wonder how the service would be on the Tige. Pretty discouraged. I will still give Tige benefit of the doubt and wait to hear back from them, although I'm pretty skeptical this is going to workout.
I don't want to mention the dealer as it's not really a bash. They could very well be extremely busy and to them, I'm just another caller on the phone. I did let the gentlemen know, that i was pricing boats with more then their company. To add a bit more urgency. So, I don't know if they really don't care or I'm just being impatient.
Rant over.
