Sweet vid. What's your setup?? Listed or a shaper/gate?? Bag size and rough percentages?? Always nice to hear how others are setting up their boat. Haven't been on an 07 rz2 but the 12 and 13s I've seen usually have a line in the wave. Is this a trimmed platform??

My setup is homemade shaper, approx 6x9" at 30 degree angle, 1100 lbs non surf side, 1300 surf side, 400 front. 2013 swim platform. There were 10 adults in the boat as well.

That is an incredible amount of ballast. How on earth do you get that rig moving? What prop and motor have you got? I did a test recently and I found my wave went to crap progressing up to 800 on each rear corner..... let alone if I tried to start at that weighting. I also run a Vx which effectively makes the boat longer and harder to sink.

Oh - and very cool video too. I wanna try that now.

ps - why aren't you coming to the Alberta surf nights?

Hey JohnnieMo, I have Marine Power 340hp with 14 x 14.25 Acme 1433 prop. I did have to move 4 adults to the front to get up to speed with this much weight.
We have a place at Buffalo Lake (Stettler) where the boat stays in the Marina all summer, so not very mobile. How about a stop at Buffalo Lake some time? It is big, algae free and only just over 2 hrs from Calgary. We are at Ol Mcdonalds Resort, and they have lots of overnight camping.

Buffalo Lake hey? That would be awesome but I don't think I have any free weekends left. Maybe labour day.

We are headed out to Sheerness this weekend.

Sounds good, maybe a plan for next year if not Labour Day?

I've experimented with about 4-5 different combinations. I have a custom wakeshaper, 800#in rear lockers, 400# on the floor, 300# lead on port bow, 100# starboard bow, wake usually get's better with more people but then I don't use my 400# sac. If someone want to surf goofy I just shift the bow weights over. RZ2 does better slightly listed rather than evenly weighted running taps at 3-4.
