Liquid Lumens vs Shadow Caster Underwater LEDs

I think willy is an agent of imarineled. His buddy Jeremy was trolling wake world at the same time this AM.

Although that concept eliminates the need to thread in and out the light, you still run into possible interference with wake plates and other wake hardware. Still puts the light behind an out drive, wake plate or similar, creating shadow. Brass is still not the best for underwater fixtures.

This right here. What good is any light if it’s being blocked? Liquid lumens are phenomenal. I still stick by my statements earlier in the thread of them being the best. But the price reflects that. There are several other brands out there that will “get the job done” for less. But let’s get real. Plug lights are junk. At least I have never seen a good one.

Do it right the first time. Drilling a hole in your boat is not as scary as everyone makes it out to be. The hardest part of these installs to me is what comes after the hole is drilled. Idk about other boats. But there is not much room back there inside the bilge!

Also, in my opinion, nice underwater lights are worth the investment. They add flash to your boat which in turn helps sell it down the line.

Sadly, the seablaze 3 is like an 8 year old light. I do not know why Tige is not using the Seablaze-X which is 10X better light at not a huge cost difference.

The Seablaze 3 are even more dim, if they are the dual color because have the bulbs are one color and the other half are the 2nd color. At least with the single color, ALL the lights are the same.

Remember, as a general rule solid color lights from the same manufacturer will be brighter than the RGB. This is because the total number of lights in the RGB light are divided into each color equally. 30 total LED's = 10 red, 10 green, 10 blue. As opposed to a solid color having all LEDs devoted to that one color. 30 total LED's all running blue. So if you're running blue on both the RGB and solid blue light, the solid light will be running 3x the LED's. So you're sacrificing a little brightness for the ability to switch colors. I can't confirm this on the Liquid Lumens RGB. But thats how every other light is. However, the LL are so bright it might not even matter. I would love to see a pair of their RGB's in action.

The build quality of my two LL Pipeline blue LED's are top tier.
