I had the same error on my 2017 RZ2. It was a problem with O2 sensors. Dealer replaced them and no issue since. It will clear if you switch the battery to off then back but will likely trip again.

Ok...anybody have a part number and know how to change them out? Seems to be a fairly common issue. Would be silly to take it to dealer if it is an easy DIY.

I would look for an open/loose connector.

I may be wrong on this but I think once the new sensors are put in you need to have the ECM re-learn the new sensors in order to keep the code from coming back up. I think those sensors take an average over the life of the motor or the last time it was flashed and once it has a bad sensor when figuring the average it still takes into account the old/bad sensors info....

If you surf in low RPM then take the boat and either park it or shut it off we are seeing these codes a lot. Some of the reasoning from Indmar is excessive buildup of carbon. They are suggesting a hot lap after each surf session. Its definitely a sensor issue but we have seen boats with new sensors have the same issues...

I get this code each morning too while first coming up to temp. After getting warm and driving out to the surf spot, I can clear it by shutting off the batteries and it doesn't come back.

I'll add O2 sensors to the list, trying to avoid dropping it off because we're out every Saturday.

Update , took the boat to the dealer and both cat converters on both banks were toast , o2 sensor was toast and the starter was bad. Hmmmmm brand new 31 hrs , ok whatever. Here we are 7 days later and headed to the shop again . This time no taps3 just wont do anything. Thats my surf diagnostic thread. Sorry to run on but this is crazy.

There is a gasket at v band clamp that joins double walled cat manifolds to exhaust manifold. If it isn't installed perfect exhaust will pull water back down exhaust side. Ask your dealer if they found water on 02 sensors. Probably a small puddle of water in the exhaust manifold too once they split v band clamp and look in. Imagine it should all be covered under warranty. Sucks that it takes away from your season but sometimes the first 50 hours are all about working the kinks out in handbuilt/one off boats. Really sounds like most your issues are indmar issues, not Tige.

Heater open/lazy is for your wideband 02 sensors. Would start by seeing if yours have water in them as it could be caused by condition I mentioned above. Good luck fellas.

I think that was for Langwell, but thanks!

My STFT 2 error was much worse on Saturday, present all day despite attempts to clear, and engine wasn't as strong as it has been. Took it straight to the dealer, they said they already have a stack of O2 sensors...

All you guys burning up O2's, what motor are you running? Just the 400 or do some have the issue with a 440? Just curious if it's a sensor issue or a tune issue.
