you should see how many screws, nuts and bolts and washers I removed from the bilge in the 24v. Its been a year and I'm still finding them in the bildge along with metal shavings. Don't get me wrong, TIGE is a great boat, and I'm happy I have one, but they also do not clean up.

I have heard that the boats have a bunch of extras in the bilge. IMHO, I think dealers should take care of cleaning them out such as mine did before delivering the boats.

In the auto business, as the dealer, the price we paid for the cars included a 'predelivery inspection' The PDI included a road test, top of the fluids, and detail. I'm sure that boat dealers would want to perform a similar PDI on every boat before customer one sees the boat. I'll bet they get compensated for it as well (just a guess)

I was amazed at how much 'stuff' was in the bilge of my 24V: nuts, bolts, carpet scraps, washers, etc. There was so much that it clogged my bilge pump and with an improperly attached exhaust hose caused the bilge to fill to an uncomfortable level.

So I spent an afternoon cleaning it out and tightening all hose clamps. Simple things that would make you feel so much better about the new boat buying experience.

After that initial cleanup, the bilge has been free of 'stuff'.

Lots of stuff in my bilge also. I dug a rag out that was staying wet and starting to stink. Most of that stuff won't shake loose by the time the dealer gets the boat. It takes a few trips to the lake to shake it all loose.
