    Looking for swim platform

I just bought a used 2000 model 21v . Had the seats all recovered and had to replace the impeller and housing . Finally got it in the water for the first time and it seemed to be taking on water , in fact after 10 mins or so it would not even plane out . in the process the swim platform fell off and was lost in the lake . I seen a few older post of people who had extras , if anyone has one or knows where to get one please let me know . I am about ready to give up on this boat , but my daughter wants to keep it . Thanks

The impeller housing area is the first place I would check for leaks off of the hoses that connect to it. There is also an o-ring that seals the housing when you bolt it together. This could be done with a fake-a-lake at home or on the trailer at the launch ramp. Sounds like you took on a lot of water!! The bilge pump should have ran automatically at some point especially since you were trying to plane out and all the water was at the back of the boat. This should be addressed too! The fact that it would not plane has me curious though because with 1100 lbs ballast for wakeboarding and people we still plane out. I do help it by starting with taps at 1 and moving to up after though.

Can't help with swim platform. Not too long ago someone posted a company who made aftermarket mounts. May have to buy some and make a platform. At some point I could give you measurements and pics of my platform if needed.

Don't give up. Too many good time to be had!!

So how did the platform rip off? Did it take the bracket mounts with it? You can find Teak ones on eBay. Maybe even the correct one. You can also find the parts and Teak to put together your own.

Don't sell unless you plan on replacing it. Your Daughter will hate you. Boating has always brought families together and remembered for years to come.

Once you work all the bugs out you will be happy. Every boat whether new or used always has some bugs to work thru.

Good luck and welcome to the Tige' family and the forum. A lot of great guys here and a lot of valuable info here. Just ask questions.

I have a template for the newer version (2002 -2004) it is a much larger one than the original but functions flawlessly. I got the pattern from my friends 2004 22v and was not sure if it would mess my surf wave up. but it didn't effect it at all. Also I
have a #of a guy you can get teak from.It cost me around 500.00 to buy the wood for mine.I used my old platform to make the upper. The cost for it was around 190.00 if you were to build it out of new wood.
