Iron, I have a Z3, so I'm only making a guess on the RZX3 locker but high end boards are much more fragile. I won't put mine in clamping racks and I might be stress out about a couple of them together in a tight space. Skim board, "production boards" with a harder shell, not problem. A couple of hand crafted wake surf board with a foam core and a fragile shell worth a lot of cash...most people will treat with kid gloves.

I think the lockers work awesome for stuff, I just dont like them for putting 1k customs in. Just preference. Lots and Lots use them without issue.

I could see the rear locker being good for boards that are in bags but not just the board. Has anyone built a rack to hold them in place?

BLucas has a bad *** 3, and I think he rides some custom sticks. He would be great to get input from on the subject. I think he keeps his up above , totally guessing though.

and the extra high top cap on the RZX3, besides a deeper interior and maybe looks (subjective) any positive to it?

OK....put the RZX2 deadrise on the Z3. I think a lot of the V advantages went away when the list went away.

They should also come up with a better looking bimini design.

Well, if the RZX2 gives up 400 lbs. or so to the RZX3 and still surfs as well, plus it does all the crossover stuff better. Its more agile, handles better, cause inboards handle great to begin with, pretty much same amount of interior space, advantage of the walk thru bow with filler cushion to make into a play pen, seems the interior patterns/designs on the seats and what-not look better, its cheaper. You are basically paying more for a surf locker that, in some opinions, isn't even a good idea to put $1k boards in and I would agree with that idea. If it actually gave a substantial amount of more seating space or the surf wake was better or something more than just a locker I could get into it. But to sum it up, IMHO, one could argue that the RZX2 is more value for the money, it is cheaper yet performs better, handles batter, surf wake is equal, same amount of interior/seating space, play pen/walk thru bow, it's making my decision easier if I go Tige. I am also willing to say the RZX2 is Tige's best boat, but I am a noob.

The Bimini is way better looking then the nautique. Even my 7 year old thinks so.

The Tige bimini is exactly a square, flat, shape....its boring....placed directly on top of the tower. You have this big muscular boat with sharp lines and then a kind of a skinny non-muscular looking tower with a boring shaped bimini. The tower shape is nice, it just needs to be beefed up a little, more muscular to match with the muscular, square shaped boat. But the bimini needs to be redsigned completely. Compared to the nautique it just looks like there arent any angles to it at all. Again, its just more simple, simple shape, simple design, simple hardware holding it on...bam just place it on top of the tower and center it up. The nautique actually has some angles to it, slopes this way and that, you got bars going everywhere holding it on and isn't placed directly on top, it actually comes forward out of the tower, doesn't go behind the tower at all. Looks so much better IMHO. The nautique pieces that hold the bimini to the tower almost look like its an extension of the tower, some beefy bars with curvy shapes and what-not, so it flows a lot better IMHO. The tower itself is also more muscular looking to match with muscular boat. I don't even think it is a comparison as far as looks go. nautique much better looking but maybe not as functional.

I have yet to see a bimini that I like better than the Nautique one. It takes about 60-90 seconds to set up or stow away, looks great and provides a bunch of shade. Pull off the cover, flip out the left side, attach support pole, flip out the right side, attach support pole...DONE. Flip the sides in, slide on the cover, secure it and it can be towed that way.

I agree. Bimini design has been kinda static for 8 yrs. I think there is a lot of potential for both looks and functionality. It needs to be about 18" longer. Should also have cargo/board carrying capability.

The Nautique Bimini is awesome! It's so easy to fold in and stow away for towing. The Bimini that they have on the ski Nautique looks better though.

I'd have to agree -- maybe it's a bit plain, but it stores the boards up top with straps, has an access zipper to get to the pylon, some storage pockets underneath that we actually put the dock pole in. I sprayed the bars with silicon to make it slide easier, and it's less than a minute -- push it forward, flip back, lock in each side support, done, maybe a minute including putting the boards in place.
