How many of your lights are the G? Looks to be 2 halos coming together on the outer edges.

As to the Tige OEM lights. Its a 6 LED that has been on the market for about 8 years, unchanged. It could also be dual color model switched to white, meaning only 3 of the 6 LEDs are illuminated. MUCH better lights to do a comparison with. In my biz, it would be like comparing a 10" HLCD to a 6.5" coaxial speaker and commenting on how loud the 10" HLCD is.

That G boat has a pair of our Pipeline's installed on it. So, two lights. I understand your point and can't speak to the details of the lights on that Tigé. It was just a friends boat that joined us at Lake Powell when we were testing our lights last spring, just before we launched to market. We took that picture with a drone, just for fun. Never intended it to be a clear side-by-side comparison of our light to anyone elses, but I still share it because I think it does illustrate how well our lights perform. But, your point is valid. We will have more accurate marketing materials ready to share later this summer that will clearly show our product on inthe water next to competitor A, B, C, etc. We're in the process of building that content now and have a few trips planned for professional photography and video later this summer.

Our lights draw 9.53 Amps @ 12V

I appreciate your taking the time to provide some info. Dont mean to sound like om busting balz, just curious about how most fairly compare, letting the truly brightest light rise to the top.

Is this 9.53A what the converter/booster draws? Does this take into account any efficiency? I would imagine that some current draw is wasted to heat in the conversion. Even the best audio amplifiers are not 100% yet, still have some loss, but sub 15% for most quality units.

If all lights are measured under the same conditions, lumens is an accurate result to compare. However, it would be great to see a test done by a 3rd party, as opposed to by a manufacturer. I would be skeptical of a Tige surf video showing their wave being better then five others, regardless of how much I like tige boats.

Its a Tige 22Ve and by the looks, has a tube tower. This puts it in the Lumitec Seablaze 2 era. Could be single color or dual. Dual light with with single color only is like a flat tire on JJ's #48. Even with the single color 6 light, its one of the dimmest out there as it was such an early comer to the trailer boat underwater light scene. I have not sold or installed a SB2 or even a SB3 in 4-5 years as they have been surpassed in output 10 fold by others that cost not too much more. Your lights are bright for sure, but sorry, bad comparison.

No problem at all chpthril, I'm always happy to talk about our products and the industry in general. Plus, getting feedback from fellow boaters is always a great benefit to us as a manufacturer. Our end goal is to make the best products we can to make boating more enjoyable and our customer's happy. No better way to do that than to chat and get feedback from the people that love boating and use our types of products. Right?

You're correct, there is a slight loss in efficiency due to heat/voltage covnersion, etc. The system runs at about 90% efficiency. But when talking Amps, we're basically taking about "what the 12V battery sees" so if you compare one manufacturer's system to another's, Amps is really the truest comparison of what we're all pulling form the battery to power a light. And since all leading brands are LED's, comparing one lights Amps to another paints a pretty clear picture. If you compare really any of our numbers, Amps, Watts, Lumens (10,000) or Lumens per dollar (we range from 16.69 lumens per dollar up to 28.65 lumens per dollar), we outperform significantly in every category.

But I agree with you on third party validation. We intend to do what we can visually to show apples to apples comparisons and help make the differences more obvious to the consumer. We did have our lights tested and certified by an NVLAP labratory, but those values only help us understand our own product at this point since we don't have corresponding third party values for our competitors products. That's something we're considering doing down the road as well. But for now, we'll have to stick to the traditional debates and comparing our "stats" to others until we get to that point.

All that being said... you won't be disappointed if you go with one of our lights. That much I do know!

I have 2 shadowcaster SCM-10s mounted to brackets on the edge of my AVX. They are awesome. I've been meaning to get some aerial shots with my DJI Mavic Pro drone. The water in Lake Travis is also clearer than I've ever seen it. Send me some of these lights and I'd be happy to be your 3rd party [emoji23]. In all seriousness, the concept behind these lights looks great. But I'd really love to see a side by side with several different equivalent brands.
