I thought you guys might like this so I am posting it here. I wanted take take better surfing shots but from different angles almost like a drone. So I looked for large telescoping poles for a GoPro and they were like $100 so I built this from extra stuff I had lying around In the garage. All you need is a car wash pole and GoPro bar mount and maybe a safety string. Mine extends pretty far out to get those drone type angles from the sides and above. Then I just use the wireless remote or app to start and stop. Also when I am done using it it collapses to store easily.
