    FAE question / issue

I've tried to adjust my FAE a few different ways, but still have the issue of water spraying up onto the sunpad. This is at all speeds while underway. My swim platform is solid teak, and it sprays up between the transom and the platform.

I have not called Larry yet, as I thought you guys might have an answer.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I have done a couple of things. I tipped the FAE downpipe out at an angle. I read somewhere that this will reduce the splash when running. I have also previously put a piece of rubber the width of the platform to block the gap between the platform and the transom. I mainly did this for when we are sitting and a wave comes from the rear and hits the boat it would splash up into the boat and get the wife wet when she was laying back there.

I have mine angled back 2-3 degrees and have no issues with spray.

Thanks. I think you don't have any spray because you don't have a prop

I actually have mine angled like that as well. How much space do you have between the platform and the transom?

Here are some pictures of what my FAE looks like and the splash guard I installed.

Can you get that rubber @ a home improvement store?

I got mine from Lowes. They have it in a bulk role you purchase by the foot. It is a flexible shower pan material.

It reduces the noise and directs the exhaust into the water, this reduces carbon monoxide. That is great for surfing in particular.

Yeah, it's not that fast but at least it doesn't spray.
