Just a fat seat about 1300 lbs in rear and only gear in the front. Then a slight two person list to surf side

I have a 99 21i. just made a 2nd version of a shaper. version 1 didn't float and broke the tether hahah. I run 800lbs across the rear roughly 4-500lbs(all that will fit) down the center in front of the engine cover. with the shaper, smaller people can surf ropeless on the starboard side. I'm regular and the port side doesn't seem as good. I can't go ropeless...Im 6'2 225 I can get close but it won't go. Im still playing with the setup and I'd really like to try a different board as well

MtnMan for my 2150 which is basically an older version of you 21i, I've been running 350ish in the rear locker, 350 on top of the rear seat, 250 steel plates under the rear seat then 1-2 lighter people or kids on observer seat and then 1-2 adults on the rear seat and it works pretty well. Taps all the way up. Also just slightly to the left. What board are you using?

my other issue is I have ZERO steering when the shaper is stuck to the starboard side of the boat.

I'm using just the cheapo 5'6" liquid force fish.

We're going out on the 4th for the day I'll get some pictures of my setup and each side's wave

Yes post up a picture of your setup. My new set up doesn't affect my steering very much at all compared to other versions I have tried.

**WARNING. Do not buy a product called SuckGate . I thought it was a fairly inexpensive option for a wakeshaper. It initially worked well, however the safety cable wasn't crimped and we lost it. The manufacturer Paul Laviolette admitted that there was an issue. but after 30 days has not replaced it. Wont return calls or email. Product was supposed to have a 2 year warranty. I also think he is selling on ebay under the name Surf Genie. not a man of his word. Paul Laviolette also has a new surf board company called Kanuk Board Co. Save your money and stay clear of this guy.

My Nauticurl does not effect steering in any way whatsoever. Don't even know its there as far as steering is concerned

I haven't forgot about this, just ran into a little snag this week and didn't make it to the lake. Waiting on some parts and I should be back in the water by the end of next week.

While your there I'd recommend swapping out the mono leafs, they are prone to cracking right in the middle where the stud aligns them to the axle.

We have a '99 2100i direct drive and was wondering if anyone has tried any of the wake enhancers such as Mission Delta, Swell Wakesurf or Ronix on a boat similar to this. Everyone seems to have v-drives that has tried these enhancers but no direct drives. Any input would greatly be appreciated.
I have a 2005 22i direct drive. I use the Swell Wakesurf and it works great. I also add 600lbs to the surf side rear locker. TAPS is set to 2-4. Kids and wife can surf without the rope....I can't (190lbs). I'm still messing with ballast so I may be able to surf without the rope soon. I've read that Direct Drives need weight on surfside, in front, and directly behind the motor but I haven't tried it. I am also leery of putting more than 600lbs in the rear locker due to the stupid plate that says mad of 1500lbs in boat.

Well to get back to everyone, I purchased the Mission Delta Wake Shaper and it was a dismal failure. On the bright side it came with a 30 day money back guarantee so I'm not out anything. Once again I have a '99 2100i direct drive & while trying to get the Delta to adhere to the boat for a half an hour, we finally gave up. We pushed on the tabs to push out air, we had people in the water pushing on it all to no avail. It would stick for about 30 seconds and fall off & we hadn't even put the boat in gear yet. Bummer.

This may be a dumb question. But did you take the suction cup covers off? In a rush I've accidentally left them on a time or two and surprisingly it will still stick for a little bit. Just double checking as this can easily be overlooked. I'm talking about the circular grey covers. When mine is attached properly I can literally almost hang on it it's so tight.

I have a mission delta and it works great on my 2011 rzr. almost equal ballast on both sides at the rear and the front full. I think I have 700 per side at the rear. I have a homemade one which also worked but it dosent stick well anymore. I also addad a super think rubber mat under my platform as my wave was too steep.

I'll admit to being guilty to this same issue.
