I usually show people the photo above when trying to decide and see how different the boats look. The top cap makes the 3 look bigger, tape them and better yet get in them or drive them and you soon realize how similar they are rub rail down.......

      Z3 or 23 LSV

It's not rollers over the nose. It's splashing while surfing. While surfing, hitting very very light chop splashes and with any wind at all it comes up over the nose and gives you a shower every five seconds. So yes, it does have weight in the nose, because we filled it up.

Either way, I can't have that. Not sure why the three doesn't do that to us, but the two does it very well. And it sucks!

I should add, it's "disappointing" because the boat initially/prospectively was very exciting. But that splash habit and the "horned" rear cap shape that hangs over the swim platform is kinda lame too.

The walkthru is brilliant, and the boat is beautiful otherwise.

Never have that experience....so I cant give you any insight... scratching my head. The running surface between the 2/3 are nearly identical...........

I also run with 8-9 degrees of bow rise... not a chance any boat I am in takes any water while underway... If the boat doesent have the correct attitude then yeah I could see it splashing, Ive had too much bow weight in the z and it gets it bad. But again, 8-9 degrees of bow rise and water in the bow isnt possible....

The horned shape/ straight rub rail across the rear was both for aesthetics and to make the boat more sinkable as far as displacement. You arent the first to sat they dont care for it. Personally I love it. As Im sure you noticed being in them both, the 3 has the horned shape as well, it just has a different shape on the rear walk through and locker. The rub rail drops down and accounts for the locker etc...

We had it's running attitude pretty close to that. But whatever, it was something I did not care for, nor did the RZX owner who has it as a loaner. No need to debate it.

Someday soon I will spend 6 figures-ish on a boat, but it's not going to be that one. But it's a gorgeous boat nevertheless.

So your upset that you got wet in wind and chop while surfing? I don't think any boat is going to keep you dry then. Hit some chop, push water away from the bow, wind blows it back in your face. That's why I leave when it gets windy.

I have zero experience on either of RZX models. I just know my Z3 is bone dry in good water and gets wind driven spray like any other boat when it's windy. Also, people should in the bow tend to exacerbate wind driven spray. Just my observations. I don't know if I'd discount an otherwise awesome boat because the wind blows spay back into it at surfing speeds.

Now...that whole weight sensitivity thing. That bugs me most days out...although the good thing about that is that I can get a great wake on one side of the boat at lower speeds by just shifting a person or a little ballast.

Im with you on that Bakes..... That was my one complaint with the Z, but how clean that thing is in regards to surfing is incredible I guess thats the trade off. I will say the RZX2/3 have captured that all the while eliminating the teeter totter.

Some boats DO and WILL spray you if a bit windy and choppy, inside the boat, much more than others. A good example is the PRE 2016 G23, they were really bad. The new 16 hull resolved that issue, it is EXTREMELY noticeable.

Also, the Z3, look at those lines in the bow, spray pockets. Those were added for this reason if memory serves me.

                          Z3 or 23 LSV

Nope, not upset whatsoever. Stating an observation, and to me: a fact. I totally get the wind, chop, splash game--I understand the basic properties of water. I surf a LOT. 165 hours a summer on the Hobbs. This boat does it worse than the others. But like I said, who cares, right?

Worse than the Z3, worse than the RXZ3, worse than the 23LSV, worse than my F24.

It's just an observation. Nothing more. It wets us when the others don't. Why? I don't know--probably because we are using it wrong.

No offense taken. Trying to be objective. Former Tige owner, too LOL. That counts! And I surf with one like, well, constantly. I am not knocking the boat, just saying what happened. It will be nice to get the 3 back once the bags are fixed.
