    Broken Speedometer wheel (Airmar Triducer)

Does anyone know where I can order a Airmar Speedometer wheel online? Can't seem to find anything for some reason.

I put the 2013 RZ2 in the water this weekend, and the speedometer read 0.0 (both on-screen and dial). Opened the Airmar Triducer sensor unit to find out that the wheel has one broken fin and that the shaft seem out of axis (must have been hit by a rock during the 3h drive back from storage).

I do not have an answer for this, but you may want to look at this

You can contact them and get a GPS unit that will plug in place of the paddle wheel and eliminate this and possible future paddle wheel related issues.

I did another quick search and it looks like Bakes may have the parts or possibly a rebuild kit for you. I don't know if this is the correct unit, but if you contact them, they may be able to help

That is likely a dealer only part.

You can not buy directly from airmar, you have to use their retailer. Actually looks like they may have changed and now sell directly. Try:

Maybe try contacting Airmar for a part #?

Contacted Airmar, got a part number : Airmar 33-398-04 Paddlewheel Kit - ordered through Blue Heron Marine! 17$!
... and to think my dealership's solution was to replace the entire unit at a 800$+ cost. Makes you wonder ...

+1 on Nauticlaugic. Run accurate GPS speeds, easy plug an play, and cheaper(I believe when I bought a couple years ago).

Just want to thank everyone in this thread. Not sure what happened to my speed gauge, but a new one was around 215, the nauti GPS was only 244. So I just ordered that. The depth and temperature were still working on my triducer, so this seems like a much better option.

So my speedometer won't kick on until we hit about 6-7 mph. I've looked at the paddle wheel and there doesn't seem to be any damage and it spins freely, if I buy this unit do I completely remove the paddle wheel? Would this be the best option or is there something else possibly wrong?
