I have 2) REV-8 tower speakers mounted on the 2 inside tower mounts....I just got 2 of Corson Piper surf rack mounts and want to move the 2 existing speakers to the 2 OUTSIDE tower mounts so I can use the 2 inside speaker mounts to install a cross brace so i can hang the 2 racks under my tower to protect the boards from the sun under bimini. Its obvious it's pre-wired for 4 speakers cause the wire pigtails are zip tied to the 2 outside speaker mounts so I would think it would be very easy.
So not being an electronics guy, here is my question:
Can I just unhook the 2 speakers from inside mount and move them to outside mounts without issue? Is it really simple to unplug existing speaker wires and hook up the new ones (new ones are inside a "sheath" so I cannot really see what I am dealing with unless I cut them open and don't want to do that till ready to do the work).
Any tips or tricks to doing it to make sure I don't mess up anything?
I should not have to tune the system or anything just moving location, correct?
I know this seems like very basic stuff that I should not have to ask questions about, I just have zero experience with stereo systems and don't want to do something stupid and blow 2 high end speakers (they are Wet Sounds).
Thanks for the help
