Looks great. Would love to see some fab pics as well if you are willing to share. I've never been on a WB but our service manager has. Sounds like pre 2012or 13 is clutch, cant remember which year but heard they changed molds from hand built to CNC somewhere in there and wave just isn't the same. All I know is that vintage puts out a nice wave for a lot less than others. We aren't an MB dealer but we service a lot of them and can definitely say they come in for mostly oil changes and wints. Otherwise they are out on the water...just my experience.

Is that just a vinyl graphic on top of powder coat??

Yeah its a graphic on top of the powder coating. I don't have much for before pics on my computer.

I wouldn't recommend it. The duct I'm using has a silicone coating on the inside to be able to handle up to 600 degrees. Its very rigid for a flexible duct if that makes sense. You can't move it by hand once it is installed.

My buddy Jeff did the fab work. He used a plasma cutter.

Nice work, I think it looks legit and is a great idea.

Thanks for the pics. Is the little box that actuator mounts to open to exhaust tube or closed off. Assuming it is just there to get rid of interference between actuator and pipe. Super impressed with it though. Was wondering how your tube would hold up to 180-200degree exhaust temps but sounds like that stuff is more than rated to handle it.

Would aluminum work for these? Just seeems easier to cut than steel.

Edit: like 1/8 or 3/16 inch aluminum. I realize that it would be thicker than normal but easier to cut if you were to do it on your own.

Yes the box is open to act as a manifold to allow entire compressed exhaust tip to be used.

One option for the hose is aircraft ducting. Probably the double layered 'sceet' hose. http://m.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/sceet.php
Not specifically for exhaust however, but probably do well in this use.

This says that it does not recommend being used with liquid but not sure what it would do to it. Although its nice that you can buy by a certain length. Do you think it would be durable enough?

Not for fluids in aircraft use definitely. No such issues if it fails or splits in this use. Hard to know how much heat you get at that point. From memory it had stainless wire in it. Can be used to carry pressurised bleed air aircraft so should be pretty good. I see you can get flexible exhaust tubing in stainless steel as well, not cheep and probably struggle to bend thay sharp.

Looks like if i do this project i might have to try this stuff because you dont have to buy a bunch of it which makes it cheaper and looks like some decent stuff.

This one doesn't seem to say not recommended with liquids so assuming that its fine to use with liquid.
