@elevated thanks for the props. ;-)

@Z3LKG The RZX3 wave you see in our videos from last year, the best wave we found was at like 4-5 degrees on goofy, and then like 2 degrees on regular. This is preference, but the lip is more solid with less list. A good rule of thumb on most boats, this includes the Z3, RZ2, 24Ve, and our latest boat, only list the amount you need to clean up the wave, more list usually doesn't make it better, as far as the shape and the transition. Mileage may vary.

@ragboy Thanks for your response. And forgive my vocabulary, but I was referring to the rise of the bow when I said "Pitch." Would bow rise of 9 degrees be a desired target on a RZX3?

PS - I get a laugh every time I see your boat listed. I'll bet that 1985 with the 30hp throws one hell of a wave :-)

What do you guys use to find angles of the pitch and list?

@Z3LKG, I think so, don't remember. I filled front ballast and had 200 lbs of lead up there, sometimes added a person if there was a lot of people in the boat, you needed to add a bit more up front. 9 sounds about right.

Rag, I have seen that you used an app for angles on your 24ve. Can you tell me what this is called because I haven't been able to find a good one yet and won't be having a new touch screen

I believe it was this one. It was very touchy, you have to find a flat spot and it only works well when its not choppy, but it works. I think we started using this in 2011 or 2012.

Thanks Robert. I figure if I have a good target, I can make minor adjustments utilizing Taps 2. I've got my finger's crossed. The good news is the boat makes a very good wave out of the box, just trying to see how we can improve it.

I target 7-9 degrees of pitch and 4-5 degrees of list on both sides. How you have the belly weighted could affect this, so for most I say shoot for 3-6 degree of roll.

Wow, they removed the inclinometer? That is the best, most consistent way to make a wave, especially with the RZX3, it was a bit touchy, that lip.

yeah, the logic was, "we have taps 3 now its not needed". Lets see. I have a production spot for a personal boat here in a few weeks and Ill be able to report back given it will be an 18

Fronts full and 40% in rears and it's waist high and 15-18ft long going 11mph and surf is at 3 and taps at 1-2 still tuning so it will only get better from here.
