Compare the price of other comparable boats including their top of the line towers. They all are going up more than Tige'.
If you can not justify the Z tower at that price, negotiate with your dealer or settle for a different tower.Comment

I think that you guys are misinterpreting here.
From what I understand, the upgraded tower is $2000 EXTRA from what a regular tower costs. The typical Tige tower is already somewhere in the neighborhood of $3000 isn't it? So I think we are talking about a $5000 tower here if I understand correctly. %8 of the cost of the entire boat is in the tower.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Both of my Tiges were package deals so I did not go through the pain of making these sorts of choices.Be excellent to one another.Comment

I hear what you are saying. I understand the $2000 additional is not what you are willing to pay. In my case looking back I would have paid more for the tower I wanted and and ordering a boat. The price I was quoted back in 05 for the boat and tower is what I was willing to pay. It just that the dealer made me an offer on a in stock boat that was appealing.
Slightly diferrent issues.
I just don't like mumbling to myself everytime I take the boat out that I wished I had gotton the other tower

a little tid bit i learned from my dealer after they got back from the dealer meeting.
the new Z towers are being outsourced to someone else not to mention the shipping charges... so while it may only be a difference of $500 in materials at best guess, the extra up-charge is justified.Comment
