So I spent some time tonight polishing the boat with 3M finesse it tonight! GREAT STUFF.
I had some scuff marks on the transom that wouldn't ever come out w/ just plain buffing and wax. This stuff took them out, as well as the yellowing I was noticing! I even went in and sanded on the rubrail with 1500 grit paper. I figured I'd need some rubbing compound between the 1500 and this stuff. Nope.... took the micro scratches right out.
Be warned though.... if your using this stuff around metal with a buffer, it will polish your metal as well. Thus giving you that black gunk that comes off of the metal and getting all over your gelcoat. The rubrail was a pain in the butt b/c of this. But all you had to do was take some on a wax pad and buff off the black marks by hand with very little rubbing.
***WARNING - Disclaimer***
If you've never used a high speed buffer before, be warned... as you could burn through your gel coat if not careful! Don't say I didn't warn you!
