    Hey Boise Area Boaters

I'm leaving in a few minutes to head to Boise to test drive/buy our new boat. We plan on meeting up at Lake Lowell tomorrow. Putting in at the Lake Lowell picnic park ramp. Just wanted to make sure that's a good place to test drive. We plan on playing there after the deal is done. What is the water like there now? Still freezing? Anything I should know about?

Yes, you cannot enter that lake until you tell us what it is you are test driving and possibly buying!

its a nice lake but stay out in the middle. pretty shallow and weedy around some of the edges. will be MUCH warmer than Lucky Peak this time of year but my preference is Peak. it's a much prettier view.
you buying from dealer? if so and in Nampa, must be Idaho Watersports and if that's true, Justin is a good guy. Was the service manager for my old Supra.
Had I known you were going, would have hitched a ride. I fly Alaska from SLC to Boise at 5:30 tonight to bring my GF back to live.

Hopefully the bugs aren't too bad out there.
It is definitely warmer than Lucky Peak but there are reasons why......
We will be at Lucky Peak tomorrow.

Will probably end up cruising the entire lake playing around. Usually we dock in Goose Neck but with no docks in the water that isn't happening.
Noticed earlier in the week when we went up to Arrowrock to see the spillway there was a lot of wood from Macks to the dam. Not sure where it's made it's way to now though.

Awesome day on the lake! Lake Lowell is very pretty. Was glass most of the time we were out there. But yes, the bugs got bad. We were very surprised to see the lake at 68-70*. I didn't get in though as Ive been sick all week. My oldest daughter got in and did great on the new wave. I'll get pictures up when I get back to a computer. Till then, you Idaho guys keep a look out for a silver Ram eco diesel headed south towing a blue/silver boat that looks way too big for it.

What were the bugs? Here in the midwest we have terrible night mosquitos, but never anything during the day that bites. Gnats may swarm and fly up your nose on occasion (actually kind of a rush?), but nothing bites.
