The RZ4/RZ2/22Ve/24Ve all have similar below the waterline hulls. The RZ4/24Ve will obviously require more ballast weight to get a wave, but will put out a larger wave since it really is all about displacement. With a larger hull, when sunk, you have more displacement, equaling a larger wave.
The RZ4 will have the larger "pickle fork" bow and you gain storage space and I believe a trash can built in - I do believe they added a trash can in the 09 22Ve/RZ2 as well, but not sure.
I think the trend to larger boats will give the RZ4 better resale, especially since there are not that many of them around.
I would try to drive both. We haven't spent a lot of time in our 22Ve, but really do like it. Truth be told though, I wish I would have waited - did more research - and spent a little more money and got a RZ2. I really like the wider bow and my wife prefers the squarer nose. She says that she is much more comfortable when loading on the trailer or pulling up along a downed rider since she can use that corner of the nose as a better guide for the width of the boat - she visually puts that corner at the rider instead of lining up the peak of the traditional bow and then having to turn away as she approaches. Not sure if this is a thing for any of your drivers, but having comfortable additional drivers gets you more time behind the boat.
