The Nauticurl like he ordered is angled. Wasn't splashing.
The WakeSurf Edge and the Swell Wake are also angled... just probably a different angle than the Nauticurl. I think I just need to fine tune them when using. It might help if I show you what I am experiencing. Before I do though - disclaimer; this is still a work in progress. I know the wave needs work. I am sharing this just to show you what we have experienced testing all 3 so far. There are 2 different boats used in this video. 1 is elevatedconcepts Z3. The other is our Z1. The device was of course only used on the Z1. Please go to 1:21 in the video to see what I am talking about. That short piece shows it well. Another good example is thegerman618 at 1:53. I love the wave, the push, the length... but you can see it's not clean. I am bound and determined to clean it up. In this video, I had approximately 950 in the STBD, 900 in Port, 700 in bow, and speed was 10.4, TAPS at 5. We have slowed down, increased speed, messed with TAPS, and the splash remains. I still believe it may be placement as previously mentioned, but I am open to feedback.
I think the wave looks very good and a lot of fun! I think the device is making such a racket because it is not deep enough into the water. BUT, if the wave is great, putting it deeper might make that worse? Will simply have to play with it. More weight would always help. Sink the boat enough so that you can favor the surf side by a couple hundred lbs and still have the device placed deep enough to not spray like a mother.
Overall though, looks like you guys are having a good time! Thats the goal!
On my MB with the Nauti, it is quite a ways underwater. I am sure it is trying to splash like that, it just can't because of the depth. If that makes sense.
Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like bananas!
Thanks dakota4ce. I think you may be right! Were definitely going to try it. Jasons wave is on a whole different level! I LOVE that wave, and his boat. Oh, and more weight IN ours will require a new prop (dang it!). We had to empty some out of the aft bags to give us speed. Both bags full gave us WOT at 9.6ish . New prop would allow us to increase the weight about 25% in each bag and have the speed back. We (well, more Brad and Jason than I) installed a MLA bag on STBD, and Jasons old Z3 bag on Port. Swim Deck is LOW when full... LOL Going to be a GREAT SUMMER!
My wave the day it was windy with the extra 1000lbs was the most insane thing I have ever seen...too bad we dont have that on video. When it makes brad look small then something is right. Too bad the water was above the rear rub rail and the bilge was having to stay on to ditch the water coming in through the activity compartments...

Awesome video, thanks. One other question... My wife rides goofy and myself regular, can we switch the suck gate from side to side in the water or does the boat need to come out and be completely dry every time?? This could be a deal breaker for me if that's the case...
All the different types we have tried can be switched in the water. I don't want to say "all of them" can be though, because I am sure there's always the exception.
in my experience, when i had my 20v any tiny bit of off side weight would kill the wave, after i did a home made suck gate, i could add more total ballast and have friends sit on the off side, though i still didn't run all the way even weight. it was great just to not have to be a natzi on where people sat. I had to prop up for the extra weight and fuel consumption went up. wave was bigger and longer.
Yesterday we tried the Mission Delta for the first time and it definitely increased the smiles per mile on our boat. Switching sides was so fast and easy and the wave improved in push as well as length. Driving the boat with the extra weight was noticeable and I'm sure I'll notice it when I put fuel in before heading to the lake today.
jmoore15 - Do you have VX? That wave is what I am striving for right now! Beautiful.
As a side note, Nauticurl will be sponsoring the West Coast Tige Reunion - I truly cant wait to try it out. Dakota4ce - your reputation is on the line (kidding of course).
