I had asked around for opinions on boards for larger riders. From this forum and wakeworld the red tide was recommended. I talked to the owner of Inland Surfer and some riders of the board who said it would work.

Inland surfer gave me some weighting tips to try for my boat.

Check out Wakeworld in theWakesurf forum and search for red tide. Several threads will come up.

It also helped that inlans surfer let me take advantage of there special os $200 off.

Also I have got up on the board behind my friends boat on a 60 foot rope just to see if I could. I have not surfed with it yet but have ridden on it.
    Let it be!!!

I purchased the Inland Surfer Red Tide. It supports my 260 pound frame. [/B][/QUOTE]

I just got the liquid force venture 5'6" and it supports my 250 pound frame. I am even able to surf behind my 21V with just 2 people in the boat. It's great. There are a few pics on the Lake Powell thread.

I suspect that before next May You and I will both have ballast tanks in the rear compartments of our boats!!!

        So it goes...
Why bother with ballast....just get a tug boat. You can get an 8+' wake from a tugboat and it'll have enough of a curl to form a pipe.

A guy at work showed me a video where they are surfing behind oil tankers in the Gulf of Mexico. Pretty insane!

I think the ballast will be cheaper than another boat. Plus I am out of room to park any more toys.

I think I would have a hard time explaining the benefits of a tug boat to Mrs. wrangler at this point in our lives... One mid life crisis at a time as she says... The 24Ve will have to hold me for a while!

Honestly, I care more about water sports and tige boats than I do my number of posts.

Can't I just combine all of my post from all of the boards I am on?

I need to get back to the post whore thread now.
