Well the tubing has become less frequent with the addition of the surfboard. I will reserve the tube for when my daughter brings young lads to the lake. It is easier to issue pain on the tube

So did you get up on the surfboard? I have been looking around for one that will support my 240 lb "large boned" frame!!! I'll have to go to the surf threads and ask Surf Dad for some guidance... The kids have been interested, so I figure a wake surf board could be in the christmas future...

All the kids have got up. Since I bought the surf board, i have been the only boat driver. The kids do not want to drive the boat. I have got up with a 60 foot rope just to see if I could. Hopefully this weekend with my adult friends I will be able to surf.

I purchased the Inland Surfer Red Tide. It supports my 260 pound frame.

I'll go check that one out... It seems that there are only a hand full of choices out there... Walker, Inland Surfer etc... I was thinking I should bring the 7'10" Greek pintail that I have kept since my youth out of the rafters of the garage and throw it behind the boat!!! Now that would be a scene... I could just rest the nose of the board on the swim step and ride way back behind that!!!

The Inland Surfer is listed at over $400. They have specials now and then. I picked mine up for $270. Trick Boards also have one for our size when you start looking into it.

My Havasu neighbor is from Huntington Beach and is a surfer who also wants to give it a try.

I have been expirmenting with the fat sacs of creating a good clean wave. Kind of a pain because my daughter is goofy and then we have to drain everthing for us regular people.

Might bite the bullet and install an ballast system if we continue to progress

See how we are!!! It's the slippery slope of boating...first the kneeboard was fun. Then wakeboarding was the bomb. The wake on the deckboat was no good, so even I as Dad could tell we needed a new boat!!! A 24Ve later, now I'm thinking that the wake surfing thing will be fun. Ballast can't be far behind...

I suspect that before next May You and I will both have ballast tanks in the rear compartments of our boats!!!

It wouldn't be right unless I chimed in just to try and keep my numbers ahead.

So that I am not just trying to up my numbers - I do have a relevent comment on the surfing. I have the Trickboardz Mojo XL. I am pretty pleased with it. It rides very different from my Hyperlite Broadcast and took some getting used to. There is very little rocker to it, so if you are not careful, the nose will dive, and it is more sensitive to riding in the chop. My local lakes are so crowded on Saturday afternoons that I can't even surf, especially with the MOJO.
