Yeah 21' is the limit. Luckily no weight limit like my previous lake.

I think Malibu is 21.5 as well.

The 22vlx is. But the mlx and vlx are 21’ but you also drop down to a 98” beam.

How is the 21ft defined? What the literature say’s or do they measure? Then do they include platform or not? People don’t understand this but there is zero definition on how a boat is measured by the manufacturer, let alone the lake cops. It is usually determined by the marketing department and what sounds best in their model lineup. They will stretch or shrink to fit their needs. Don’t get me wrong, they are not calling a 24’ a 20’, but it is give or take several inches.

Usually it does not include the swim platform. At least with wake boats from what I’ve seen

Standard measuring method changed after the 1992 production year. Prior to that model platforms were not in length. , Since, anything bolted in is not included in OAL, but molded is. So say a Gekko GTO with a molded platform is classified as a 21 foot boat when its really just a 19. Most modern towboats have bolts ons so platform is not included in OAL.

Yes measured without swim platform since its removable. If literature says 21' I'm good.

I know that you have already voiced your opinion but it is worth getting in a Helix before you decide. Huge amount of ballast space for a small boat. No-one has done it from what I've seen but you could run really large L bags and still build a gear net over bags and actually have storage in rear lockers...which most boats won't do it the size range you are looking at, if you are trying to push surf weights to the max.
Haven't experimented the Helix but I know you said you live on a ski lake. If you are wanting to slalom would still look at Tige.

Ew the Helix looks like it was designed from legos... Yeah definitely not the choice if you want to ski.. skiing would be Tige, or vtx
