rz2 buying questions

im prolly going to buy the rz2 over a 22ve. I have a couple of questions.

1.anyone know the starting price yet?
2.which powerplant is the best for this boat.
3.is the tower power system worth the price, or should i go outside Tige' for a sound system.
4.should I get the speedset or the perfect pass.

fuel costs arent too bad as i usually have lots of help from my riders on my boat. so from that, is the 340 enough? or should I just go for the 400?

1. Dealer sets the price, 60k seems about right to start with.

2. I have the MP 5.7L 340 hp. We've skied/boarded with 11, and the engine still had plenty of 'git up an go'. Fuel consumption will probably be about the same between the 340 and the 400, both suck (a lot).

is the tower power system worth the price, or should i go outside Tige' for a sound system.

3. Our boat was ordered for the Spring boat show, so it had most of the 'bells & whistles'. We have the Clarion/Kicker Tower of Power and are real happy with it.

Don't think you will go wrong with either one. I have not driven a boat with PP, but I like the way Speedset works.

I don't think Perfect Pass is an option any longer.

With a 340 and just about everything else, I've seen in the mid 60's.

Grab a set of Addictions and throw 'em on the tower.

I think your right for the 07's. Did I read correctly, some where, that MarinePower is now the only Choice? If that's the case, then SpeedSet is the only one, as it was made for the MP system.

If none of us buy one, then the price will come down nicely. I agree with the sting, there.

If it weren't for the fact that my 2 year old boat is worth nearly what I paid for it, I would never even dream of such a money pit. I think that as interest rates have gone up, the expensive boat market is going to shrink some, and prices may finally stop escalating.

I think that the MP 340 HP is plenty for my 24V even when loaded with 1200 pounds. If I were going to run 1500 pounds or more (people and ballast), I would upgrade...but I understand the upgraded motor is a several thousand dollar slap in the face...anyone know? They say that it actually starts to feel good once you have been hurt bad enough.

I think you can get a better stereo outside of the factory. They put up a pretty good system, and you have the advantages of one stop shopping and glitch fixing, but if you know a good stereo guy or are willing to do some homework yourself, you will have a better and less expensive system.

53,600 is what I paid for my 06 22V and it came with everything except stainless rubrails and ballast. Even at that price I had a really hard time pulling the trigger on it.

I now feel like I got a smokin deal, I just hope Tige doesn't price their boats out of the hands of the blue coller dude.

Price from my dealer is $62900
That includes 340 HP engine (you will want it), bow cushion, table, Alpine stereo, 4 Alpine speakers, Speed Set (Tige version is very good), Extreme trailer, Bimini, Cover.

340 is best for the boat, but I am looking at the upcharge on the 360 HP to see if it might be worth it for me.

I would do the Stereo outside of Tige. Not that the kicker speakers they use are bad (they are actually very good) but they use a crappy Head Unit IMO (Clarion) and the lower end Amps. You can also have a stereo shop tune and build you a very nice system designed to your needs. Plus I like the looks of the fusion or skylon towerspeakers better than kickers in a can look the factory does.

I was very impressed with the speed set that Tige has and am going to run it.

Yes, it comes with the Xplosion Tower standard or with the Monocoque uprights (no additional charge)

The RZ2 they package as a loaded boat. The only thing it does not include are stereo items and roller prop guards on the trailer. I don't like the standard boat cover that they do and want the factory comerical sewing cover with the vac-u-hold. The bimini is done at Adlee's in Corona. I am also going to have another piece of carpet with a backing put in to go over the main carpet. Malibu calls it a carpet saver and I really like the idea so I am having one made so I can take it our after trips and bring it home to clean it. (Boat is 250 miles from my house)

RZ2

I rode & drove the RZ2 last weekend. Great new design.

Power Plant? The 340 is plenty, IMHO.

Price? Keep in mind that all manufacturers are going up in price. Tige' is not going up as much. MC is increasing 7% as is most of the rest.

Z Tower? It makes this boat.

Stereo? Tige' runs the wire inside the tower without connections on the outside and with no rattles. Something to consider.

Speed Set? It is the only option and it is awsome. The LCD display in the center of the dash is controlled by the buttons on the Speed Set.

The wake may be equal to the VE but probably not more. Get the ballast, as most wakeboarders ask "How much ballast?" anyway.

It is an awsome looking boat but ultimately the look is in the eye of the beholder.
