ballest quistions for 21 i.

just wondering how much ballest to use and where to put it to get the biggest good usable wake i can.

but, i'll sum up what i used to do on my 21i.

600lbs bow walkway
600lbs rear gullwing storage
350 port side of motor box
350 starboard side of motor box
250 behind motor box (this was only needed when we had 1 or 2 people, if you have 3-4 peeps you won't need this one).

taps is good anywhere from 5-1 depending on where your passengers are and what year you have (taps vs taps2).

cool thanks alot. ive heard that weight in the back makes the size and weight in the front keeps it cleen. what have you heard? we also usually have at least 5-6 people in the boat. did all that ballest crowed the boat to much? do you use any kind of counter weight to balance things?

with 5-6 peeps.... you'll have one sittin observer, 2-3 in the back, maybe one up front. the ballast isn't too bad (you prolly won't need the one behind the motor box).

basically, weight the boat 60-40 with ballast, and then let the peeps move around to smooth and even it out.
