For those of you that ordered or are considering ordering, I would suggest asking about the "Trim Tab Hinge Mount". From what Killerbren posted before and what Christina as stated, this sounds to be a very good way to go. Easy installation, clean look and from Killerbren's comment above, very solid. Hopefully I will have the same thoughts after installing mine.

A question for the rest that have installed FAE: Did you end up keeping the original exhaust flaps in place? I debated about adding them, but didn't and it sounds like in some situations, the factory ones can stay in.
You can't use your original flappers. The system mounts to the spot where the flappers were. I didn't get the flappers in my pipe and havent had any issues. If your engine is under warranty though you may wanna get them.

Don't know if you guys knew....but I had a friend that asked on this Monday if he could still get in on this group buy cause he just missed the sale as it technically ended last Sat the 18th.....I called Christina and ****she EXTENDED the group buy thru tomorrow, Friday the 24th****
So if anyone missed out and still wants in.....you still can get the $70 off if you call her by close of business tomorrow!! She may even accept it on Saturday if they are open, cant hurt for you to ask.

That system looks way easier to install than having to bend each bracket upwards manually. Looks great.

I am on the wait list for my 2017 RZX2; anyone got one yet for a '17 RZX2 or 3? Would love to see the pictures. Had one on my 2008 24Ve and it is a must for the new boat.

I have the 2005 22v and just installed it with the support bars underneath, it was a little challenging but I'm sure it will be worth it. Can't wait to hit the water.

                Did those brackets cost extra?

Nope it was included. I put that I wanted the basic bracket off the deck and he told me he had a new design. Very easy to work with.

I just want to let everyone know that if you happened to have missed out on this group buy through TO, FAE is currently offering a group buy to PN members. I know that the TO buy was shared on CC and some of those owners were able to get in on it, so why not pass the PN discount on to TO as well and maybe you can help get their discount level up. My FAE from the TO buy just shipped today!!!

                    Here are the details:

The group buy will run from 03/19/17 – 04/1/17. Anyone ordering online can use promo code “PNSPRING17”, or when ordering by phone, you must mention that you are with the Nautique group buy. When entered, this code will apply a $50 discount to the order. Once the group buy reaches 7 or more people, the discount will increase to $70 off each order. All online orders are processed manually, meaning that no charge will be made to your card until you have received an order confirmation. This discount cannot be combined with other offers, and is valid on direct, new orders only.

Anyone interested can learn more about available options at http://www.freshairexhaust.com/about-us/fae-options/. Specific to Nautique, the two applicable options are the blended welds (+$40) and internal flapper (+$40). Orders can be placed by phone 512.647.7321 or online at http://www.freshairexhaust.com/your-boat/. Measurement verification will be necessary as Nautique’ s exhaust outlet placement varies from boat to boat. Once an order has been placed, we will follow up with you and provide a form detailing what measurements we need to verify on your boat.

A little information about Fresh Air Exhaust – The Original Surf Exhaust:

Join the thousands of other boat owners that have upgraded their boat with the CLEANEST and QUIETEST exhaust available.
                    Why FAE?
                    * PROTECT YOUR FAMILY - FAE reduces Carbon Monoxide and other exhaust gas at least 90%
                    * STEREO UPGRADE / NO MORE YELLING!- FAE reduces exhaust noise levels approx. 50%
                    * FAE does not change boat handling, performance, or wake
                    * FAE is patented and an American made, family owned and operated business
                    HOW DOES IT WORK?
*FAE works by injecting the boat’s exhaust gases into the prop wash, pushing the exhaust away from the boat

How difficult is it to put on a 2016 r21?

Pretty easy install. Maybe an hour of patients and someone to eyeball it to make sure it's straight and boom!

Awsome thanks. My dealer has gotten some custom made ones that he says are a b&*&$tch to put on and my cost would be about $1300.00

That and you would be in for $500 max using FAE...if you got the blended welds that add $40. If you also get the flappers, maybe another $40 added to that.
But definately no more than $550 for the FAE once you get your $50-$70 discount and they have been making them for 15-20yrs.
You can probably google some pics of the 2016 R-21....or look at the Z1 since they are very similar at back.
