Thought I'd throw up a pic of this -- there are LEDs in the speakers from the factory!

While installing a satellite radio receiver and working under the helm, I noticed an rgb wire floating loose. Dug a little, and saw it went to the speaker. Pulled the speaker and attached it to a plug-in controller I have sitting around, and voila!

I checked a few other speakers, and all are setup with this dome led built into the speaker grille. The sub and tower speakers do not have anything. No big deal though, as this will make it much cheaper to order rings for those.

So now the next thing to track down -- where is the output from the Tige Touch to connect the RGB controller to? I have the switch options open on the screen, just need to find where/what type of controller to plug-in and wire it up.

Out of curiosity....did you remove the panel on the amp? I had to do that on my 2016. It had some horrible hissing out of the tower speakers when I got it. So I popped the cover off the amp and turned some knobs until it went away. Anyways, for my 2016 amp there are knobs....just hidden under a panel.

AMP's are pre-tuned via Wetsounds each boat has it's own tune

I'm not a fan of the "It's tuned for your specific boat". I was really disappointed in the sound system in my 17 Z3. I had a similar setup in my previous boat except the wetsounds were powered by 3 seperate JL amps that were properly tuned and it blew the hell out of what I got going on in my new boat.

Guess I'll have to drop another couple of G's to get new amps and have a sealed box built and add a WS420 so I can adjust the EQ to my liking.

IMO the factory tuned wetsounds amps leave alot on the table, the speakers are way under powered...my feeling is it's to avoid warranty claims.

exactly... they need to step up the power, and the sub department to really havve a home run.

Were you able to get it fixed? It did it to us a while ago and then when on the lake with the dealer today I tried to replicate it but forgot it was 10 or below. Of course remembered that after it was just us on the boat later in the day.

Not yet, I've had some back and forth with Customer Service at Tige, and my local dealership. They haven't been able to duplicate in a system on the bench, and I think it's fairly limited to the Z3 tune. There have been some issues with static in other boats, however, I think this 'cutting out' issue is limited in scope.

I think I'm starting to agree with what a few have said -- they may be underpowered, and that could be causing this. From my car stereo days, if I had this issue, I would just increase the gain a bit and problem solved.

I'll be happy with the overall quality if we can get this fixed. I'm not trying to be the DJ for the whole lake, and the ability to adjust the zones independently does a good job of having good sound inside while the rider can hear clearly too. This particular cutting out issue just makes it tough to have some background music playing while floating -- when you turn it up enough for the cutout to go away, you can't talk over it easily anymore.

Mine cuts out as well at low volume. There is a thread over at the Malibu crew about the same issue. I'm betting it's something to do with Murphy software.

I know they've had the Murphy team at the factory working on the issue, haven't heard the results of that work. I can't find anything newer than 2015 on the publicly view-able Murphy ICE pages (those pages say the software still contains tone control, which the Tige version definitely doesn't).

My guess is Murphy supplied the core system, modified to Tige's requirements, and somewhere in the process and tuning for the boats, something is just a bit off. Happens in my company's work with tech vendors all the time.

We have hissing speakers and cut out below 20 on our '17 Z1. The dealer said there was another boat with the same issues and they determined the hissing was an amp working too hard. Gonna keep watching here too see if there are any other developments
