I think if you painted the speakers red it would add a pretty awesome touch to it. That is a very nice looking color scheme.

It will be one of those boats that I admire, but would never own just because it will show every swirl and scratch. Every time the towel is not quite free of sand, it will show a new swirl. A good polish job will fix those issues, so it would just be a little more maintenance to keep her looking new. Be sure to post pics when you get her home!
    Be excellent to one another.

Yep, I'm anticipating ordering Hot Sauce in bulk, and will be doing a lot of polishing over the years. Everything I have is black, so I'm used to it, it's almost therapeutic in a way.

We had red ring accents on the speakers at first -- until I saw the cost of just those two little rings being custom speaker paint. I'll be able to make my own LED rings for the whole boat for half of what I saved just in that color, not to mention how much the LED rings for the factory would have added.

I wish I could have sprung for the metallic paint -- even with the excellent boat show discounts, it was tough to hit the budget (went over bit as it is). At this price point, a few extra hundred doesn't seem like much, until you've added several thousand, and then that payment starts to climb noticeably.

I've modified it since to be a lot wider but this is a better picture of what it looks like. It's essentially a piece of Aluminum angle bar and 2 flat pieces of Aluminum bar from Home Depot. I then just went to a local parts store and bought some large mud flaps. It just U-bolts around my hitch. My exhaust is out the side so it's never been an issue for me.

Awesome, thanks for the detail. I'm thinking with a couple of well-placed cutouts for my exhaust, that could work and save some gas money for the new boat.

Good call on the Hot Sauce. I was surprised how much more juice I went through with our black hull.

Very much a PITA to get that hull sprayed and wiped.

Boats looking great. What color dash did you go with? I've got a Z3 build coming in a couple of weeks and trying to decide between black or graphite. Keep the build pics coming. I'm planning on going up to the factory while mines in production and check it out while they build it.

I went graphite for the dash. We originally were going with a black dash and deck, and Michael's good advice changed our mind. Because we went with the standard paint, all of the internal fiberglass is the same as the deck color -- in other words, all of that black on the inside would be scratch prone and burn our little ones.

The graphite dash is darker than the graphite paint, but shouldn't be 'quite' as hot as straight black. I'm also planning on tinting the glass to about 30%, which should actually match the look of the Studio build pictures.

The Graphite looks good. Looking forward to seeing more build pics. Have you priced out a tint job? I was thinking about a lite tint myself.

Pricing seems to be in the $200-300 neighborhood at a shop; some say a couple of hours, some up to 6 hours. I've been able to do most of my tinting in the past, just not sure how much of a compound curve there is in the glass. A flat curve is pretty manageable -- compound gets tricky.

I had black dash on my 13 and the graphite dash on my 17. I'm glad to hear you went with graphite. It was way better imo

So glad I did the factory trip, it is so worth seeing it. Plan to go back when my boat goes into production.
