like a kid on christmas eve...

I'm told that my new 22v was being finished on friday and is now waiting for a truck to take it to Austin... the anticipation is driving me nuts!

'scuse me, I need to go run in circles....

CONGRATS RUUNE!! My 24V got here last week. Not sure what all your adding to it once it gets in?? I am adding a few things so it won't be fully ready until next friday (I hope). Biggest hold up is the tower, which was shipped yesterday. The tower speakers will be a week or so later, but i can at least start the break in before that. That raises a good question for another thread, the break in period seems a lot different then a car, and i am curious why?? CONGRATS AGAIN!!!

BTW - you need to put up some pics when you get it! Also a list of what you put on it would be cool! It's always fun to see how people configured their rides.

I'm adding about 2000 watts of stereo equipment- 6 Polk/MOMO MMC465s (same ones that Mastercraft uses in their polk upgrade), 460-watt Alpine amp for the momos, a 1500-watt fosgate amp for my 2 10" Alpine 1041D (Type-R subs), and an alpine MP3 player headunit.

Plus, I'm ordering 2 600lb sacs for the back and 1 900lb sac for the walkway in the front.

and yes, I'll post LOTS of pics. Still havent seen a red/black/red 22v up here... yet.

nice! that ought to make your ears sting! let us know how it sounds at 70-75'. I am always curious how well different set ups sound to the rider.
Not sure if your dealer has the fatory install the tower or they do it themselves. If they do it, you may have to wait a day or two before you take delivery. I went with a different tower than Tige offers, that is biggest reason for the delay. One thing that is odd to me is my dealer told me there are a lot of people who have boats in that want them to hold them until may??? just for storage. the ice melted off the lakes here last week, i would at least think they would want to get through the break in period before it warms up. we were actually riding this weekend. Chilly (about 38-40) but man did it get us pumped for the season!

yikes! I thought 40-50 was cold when we were riding in Jan/Feb!!!

I'm going with the factory tower, but I'm told it's going to take a day for prep.

Oh yes, I'm currently working on a tower speaker solution, utilizing Image Dynamics' compression loaded horn drivers in a billet enclosure w/ anywhere from 2-8 6" mids. Only problem is that I'm looking at $500+ for the two horns alone... not including 3rd order crossovers, midwoofers, and the aluminum for the mounts and enclosure. Well, R&D gets expensive...

I'm doing the wiring myself... I had the factory cut out the speaker cutouts, and I'm going to have a custom box made. I'll be running 4 gauge wire to 2 distribution blocks (pos and neg), with 8 gauge going from the distribution blocks to the amps. From the amps, I have 12 gauge copper speaker wire.

That sounds a lot like my system. I need to go take pics and post them when I'm done.

yeah.. go take some pics! One of the things that impressed me on the 22v when I took a CLOSE look is the hidden conduits that you can run things like audio cables through- VERY clean and out of the way.

oh yeah, I forgot that I dug up a .5 farad monster cable capacitor that I plan on using. Remembered I had it in my previous truck, and pulled it out of the attic. woohoo!
